Question Darking/tinting out Yellow in e90 headlighs?

Has anyone tinted the yellow part in their headlights on their e90 335's? Or any e90 4dr?

Please post picks and what method you used.

Right now I'm looking to use some spray tint and just spray over the yellow on my headlights.

Comments? Suggestions?

Instead of tinting the orange/yellow, you can code the corner lights to turn them off.

No not the corner lights per se. I meant the yellow part in the headlights.

I also would like to eliminate that orange from the head lights. They are ugly.

You can bake the headlights and remove the reflectors, if you've done it before and are willing to risk it. Otherwise, you can buy vinyl overlays to cover it up. I've baked open headlights before on other cars, but didn't want to risk the super $$ adaptive headlights, so I just covered it up w/vinyl.

Yeah, a friend told me to do it that way, but with these headlights being $500 each for a USED set, i think I'm just gonna go over it.

It's a cheap eBay replica front bumper lip. Ac schnitzer style. I bought it a year ago for $130 + shipping. Then I painted it to match the car.

Too bad, because in the pictures the silver looked really nice...

I originally thought you wanted to tint your entire headlight yellow like GT3 cars do. But you meant the 'orange/amber' reflector :P Look into getting something like this, I'm not sure where he got it but it looks like a simple vinyl overlay:

Yeah, that looks like what **********s sells. (see above for link)

The only thing is that their reviews suck... Idk, maybe I'll try it. Its only $45 anyway...

I'm in the same boat. I've seen the vinyl overlays but don't like em. Go to bimmian they have painted covers but kinda pricey. I just tinted my sidemarkers with tint spray and thought about doing the orange reflectors. I would like to see someone post more pics.

I have the amber wrapped in vinyl from the inside of the housing and blacked out.
