Haven't got it sold yet, it's going on the chopping block though. I think I'm going back to a 2 car fleet. Pick up a beater for cheap then buy something to be a garage/weekend warrior. Going back to something that doesn't require me bringing it into the dealer all the time.

The SRS issue is a big deal to me no matter what the cause because now my GF is not comfortable with us taking the car anywhere. I've had to wait two weeks to get it fixed just so I can have some mode of transportation as a loaner. I'm sorry but when you spend 50k dollars on a car then keep having to bring it back to the dealer come back and tell me how much you enjoy making that monthly payment on something that you have to keep taking back to the dealer.

thats what the warranty is for. i know these things are a big deal to you but getting rid of your car would be really expensive no matter how you look at it and i would hate to see you get hit with that loss just on the principle that you spent 50k and shouldnt have to put up with problems. i mean you have to bring the car in more than you want but atleast you get a decent loaner for free.

give it a chance, maybe the kinks will get worked out this time... atleast your patience might save you from losing alot of money on depreciation when you may only have a couple simple problems that are causing these issues in the first place.

worst case scenario you could lemon the car and maybe recuperate more. i dont think EVERYONE is having these same issues. maybe you just had bad luck. it happens. but regardless, in the big picture, youre driving a great car all around. otherwise, it woudlnt be receiving so many accolades in the media and rave reviews, no would it have such a large enthusiast community like this one and many others on and off the internet. your car is fast, comfortable, unique, and pretty grown up compared to an evo etc.

try to be patient, try to see the big picture and hopefully you might find some positive aspects that outweigh the problems.

why not just wait on it? 98% of the time its a seat mat which takes like an hour and a half to do or so assuming we have the seat mat in stock for your car...if we do you could just go to raffertys or something and eat some food and kick it till its done? as for the RFTs everyone and their mother knows there crap the issue is alot of BMW owners cant and wont change there own tire even if they had a flat..so thats the main reason alot of our cars come with them. but as a side note ive never spent 50k on anything in my life other than my house and my tools..so i couldnt tell you there..but if i was to spend 50k on a car it wouldnt be new. although you could look at it like this man...your getting alot of the issues the car COULD have over time out of the way right now instead of over a long period of time? lol

I usually don't have time to sit and wait for it. I don't live near the dealer so I have to bring it while I'm at work or on my way to work. I'm afraid getting all the issues now it is what bothers me the most for fear of whats to come. Once I've made up my mind about something it doesn't change though. The car is going up for sale.

Jay, although not everyone is having the same issues I can see good and bad points to both. The bad is that if everyone isn't having the same issues it's just a lot of stuff that I haven't had fail or mess up go wrong. Every owner I've met seems like its been one thing or another, and all different issues. I just don't feel this car has given me any peace of mind from my experience and other people I know. It sucks because the car is great for what it is, but in short time I have see too many people with issues besides my own. The grown up aspect of it I don't really care too much about.

In order to lemon a car you have to have the same issue I think three times in a row and it become unfixable, I'm not sure the exact law but I don't think if it is a bunch of little problems it can be lemon law. I wish it would As long as I come close to selling it for what I owe on it, I won't worry too much about it.

I looked for an FD before I got the 335 thinking of wanting to do an LS1 in it. Then I realized that people selling FD's are smoking crack. 20k for a 15 year old car with missing interior, no thanks. I love how FD's look but in order to find a good condition one it's too much money to me for a shell. They are still one of my favorite cars though. Honestly I have no clue what I want to get next... I might just take some time and drive a lot of stuff and not buy anything for a while and try to figure that out.

I found an FD with a PERFECT interior for 3200$...salvage title due
to engine fire...what do ya expect its a boosted rotary ....but anyways
just got to look. I have seen ones with LS1 swap for sale and pretty much a perfect car for high teens and low 20's in rx7club

yeah low 20's.... that's way too much for an FD. I have friends that buy and sell RX-7's in east TN. I thought about getting them to locate me one but that's too much of a money pit.

I've been looking at 370's. I get a discount on Nissans too. I'm going to wait and see what all they do with the Nismo version. Eventually I would boost it. I even looked into buying a 350 and doing the turbo setup on it but I don't like the looks of the 350 all that much like I do the 370. Subtle differences and really wide rear end make it so much nicer. I drove a Nismo 350 and loved it. Suspension and chassis were phenomenal for a stock car, just needed some more power.

I think at this point I have to decide what all I want out of the car. STi, 370, Exige are all getting tossed around. I almost wouldn't mind a C6 Vette if I could handle the interior, at least the Exige just doesn't really try to have interior. If I got an STi I wouldn't feel the need for a 2nd car, but I hate seeing the miles rack up.

i say...get an r32 GTI and boost that...sounds way better than an STI..looks better...and its a riot to drive. a guy up in bowling green has a black one that makes over 500whp...

and by r32 i mean an 04 one as the new ones are stupid..

I know an elise with 2000 miles you can get for 30k right now, maybe high 20s. It's 2005 with touring, sport, and star shield. It's red though.

I don't like the Elise only the Exige. I also can't own a red car. I've tried three times. One of them almost killed me and the last one I had three weeks before I got rear ended in traffic at 45 mph. Red cars for me = disaster.
