Same here except I'll take one without the xdrive

I couldnt resist and took a look at how much these things are going for. Seems there's plenty of them under $25k in M-Sport trim! If these had been sold as wagons in the US, I'd be picking one up for my wife's daily instead of a TSX wagon

I'd take the xdrive all day. Practical in the winter, better launches, lower 1/4 mile. But like said above when I want to have fun turn it into a rwd. If I'm not mistaken though xdrive isn't like other rear wheel drive, it's something like 40% front/ 60% rear so it'll still feel rwd.

I still love my 335d though. 5 series is a boat to me... just wish they'd put the thought they do in the 5 series in a 3 series :

Good snow/winter tires should be sufficient for my needs

The biggest thing I could use from the 5 series these days is more interior space and larger trunk volume. It's becoming a major inconvenience for us to own two sedans these days...

Congratulations on the great work. Bob, are the internals still stock on the n57 build?

I would of never guessed this power plant could put down 550hp, impressive.

I thought the same thing about winter tires but my D ate through bliztaks In 4 months.... but that's because it's so dang fun to drive in the snow

I see your reasoning for wanting more space though. I just like my sports car to not be a full size car lol. If I could of I would of got a coupe! If I needed space I would get an x5 which would be better than a 5er. Now that I think about it more a 550hp x5 with n57 would be more something I'd get lol

Try general arcticmax...I get about 30K out of a square set and doesn't hook too bad for a 225 width tire

I'll definitely look into that! Blizztaks are just way to soft and I do way to many burnouts and drifts when it snows lol

Umm, no. The thread with the details shows nothing like this, last post 2/26. Why don't you update it so we can verify?

not sure what you are getting at, but Phil our PR guy is out of town right now and we've stated that we were waiting on fuel upgrade parts. The car now has those parts installed and working.

I love blizzaks and generally run them on our other cars that run less miles, but generals are hard to beat in price and wear with only slightly less bite in ice, but perhaps better in snow.

What exactly is the wheel size you guys run? According to Tire Rack, they dont have anything that fits wheels above 17's.

My winter wheels are 17s so I run 225/45/17 square... my summer set which I'll be purchasing soon will be 18s and I run a staggered during the summer. Haven't decided if I want front: 225/40/18, rear: 255/35/18 OR front: 235/40/18, rear: 265/35/18. Will mostly come down to cost. Also don't know if I'm go do ADO8 R or R-S4... leaning towards ADO8 R. Just need grip and long tire life!!! These cars deleted eat rear tires!! Haven't had a set that last more than 4 months lol.

Where did you get your Generals? TireRack doesnt seem to have a set of 17s in a 225 cross section.

If you want long tire life, I suggest looking for something else for summer tires. The ones you listed only have a tread ware rating of about 200 (depending on the tire size), which probably wont get you past the 4 month mark (again, depending on how you drive).
