HELP Progman 23, Daytime running lights

Help! Got upgraded to Progman 23 and Daytime running lights are now on. There is no option in my Navi "Lighting" menu to turn them off. Any suggestions?

My are on now too. I havent looked to see if I can turn them off. Did you have problems with nav disk? Mine is no longer recognized.

What nav version are you running?
I would say take it back to the dealer or have them give you the new NAV disc

No problem with the Nav Disk, I believe I have 2006.2., maybe you have an older Nav disk.

Could you please check to see if you have an option for Daytime running lights in your Nav.

Take the car back and tell them you dont want the DRL's. There should be an option to turn the DRL's off but if not have them do it. Everytime I go in and I know my car is going to go through programming I tell them to not activate the DRL's. Both times my car came out without them on.

Although I'm in Cleveland where they actually care about keeping customers. In LA BMW owners are a dime a dozen.

I was hoping to avoid another trip to the dealer. Last time I was there (1 1/2 weeks ago) I had to wait in line for 30 minutes. Even though I had an appointment. Still confused why I don't have an option in my Nav to control DRL's. And yes, you are right about the dime a dozen LA BWM owners.

Are you saying that the option to turn on/off DRLs disappeared, in other words you had it before the upgrade?

Never bothered with DRLs before. Not sure if I had the option originally. I definitely don't have it now. I have a Pre-Sept build E90, does that make a difference.

yes it does.
Pre-sept built cars, like mine, never had that option.

Yes, it's aggravating to say the least. Especially, since I understand that it's illegal to drive in CA with DRLs. On the other side of the equation, I love the new menus and possibility for an ipod integration with Progman 23.

BMW should just have use install our own software. Then we can take responsibility for getting it to work.

I am still trying to get the dealer sort out the previous (v22) upgrade problems.

in no way are the DRLs illegal in California. it doesn't say that in the bulletin. And, in the other CA - Canada - they are required.

Driving with just parking lights on (24800 VC). Vehicles that have factory-installed automatic daytime running lights must meet federal requirements and are legal.
