How can I tell if my 330i has Xenon Adaptive Headlights with auto-leveling?
How can I tell if my 330i has Xenon Adaptive Headlights with auto-leveling? Isn't that when you turn all the way left, the lights turn left? like.. how can i test them out? How can I truely tell? I know i Have the xeon lights... but do I have the adaptive headlights that turn and stuff?

If you are in the united states and have a US Spec e90 you have autoleveling(up and down)! You also have Adpative (that means left to right) All 330s do.....They are adaptive when you turn your light switch to the left to the "A" position!

If you have a US-spec 330i, you have the adaptive xenons.
Try a search here for more info. In short, put the lights in Auto mode to get the "lights turn with the tires" feature. Edit: I was too slow. oneshare325 beat me to the answer.

If you have them to the "A" position, you should be able to tell, you could point the car at the side of a building and turn the wheel if you wanted to see, (no need to test, you have them, trust me)! I remember when I first turned them on, I started turning the steering wheel just to watch them turn!

Just go park in front of a glass window like Starbucks and you can clearly see the difference. So will everyone else.
 I was at Starbucks the other day and pushed the start button and the guy in front sitting down was noticing the auto leveling. Pretty cool!

lol.. thanks guys.. as i was dropping my friends a few minutes/1hr ago. I pulled up to the parking lot and was curious to turn left and rigth as it was in A mode. and I saw it.. i couldnt believe it. I swore last time I asked my girl to do it while i was in front of the car and it didnt. Maaaaybe i had it on the full lights and not Auto.
The autolevling is sooo cool. I love to turn it on for the first time of the night... it lights up the street super white with a light tint of blue.Thaanks alot for your help guys. Saved me 1700 from purchasing the clear corner ones... thena gain.. I might still get em. Cuz... I can always sell my current ones. hmm...on to my next post.  |
