Nice review! I have the perf. exhaust on my coupé, and really love it
The "Bmw tax" is definitely included in the price, but it's still totally worth it!

i always that that the performance exhaust is just section 3.
but is that the section 2 also?

Yes, Mufflers and midpipes (section 3 and 2)

Any noticeable drone from inside the cabin?

No drone.

You are going to be flamed for the M badge. Just a warning.

Yep! I can see that! Badge and sticker I made myself. Its a Kerscher rear wing! My 335 thinks it is an Evo! But hey, I love it-it gets a second look.

This is my opinion on this exhaust, while others will love the shit out of it, for me after hearing it in person, I wasn't too impressed with it and the high price tag...I think you should find someone with the exhaust and hear the exhaust before going forward with the purchase...
Very good point and suggestion - thanks! I am the loud type when it comes to exhausts. The BMW performance exhaust compared to Eisenmann race is tamed. But The BMW exhaust gives me the best of both worlds. I have driven a complete catless, custom exhaust on my other 335 for 2 years and the BMW performance exhaust is a major deviation and pleasure to experience.

Thanks. Agree. Will try another run soon. I tried in the "under coverparking" shoot to pull it through in first gear (manual) but run was too short...

Much appreciated, definitely film the runs outside or in car...it gives much better representation of the sound. Thanks for posting all of the information and videos!

when you have an E92 or E93 the mid pipe stays the same, as it does not have the resonator. The price is also much lower. I found it very reasonable priced even... (here in Switzerland)

and for people which find the exhaust not loud enough:
like the original exhaust of the 335i, also the Performance exhaust has a valve. It makes the exhaust more quite and low revs and when not giving a lot of trottle. You can of course take the small rubber tube off (left exhaust), which is about 1 minute work, which leaves the valve open all the time. I had it like this, but for me this is too loud, especially when driving away in a parking in the early morning at home...

I really love the sound of the exhaust. Gives me a smile everytime again

Your decription of the sound and non droning is said by many and what I'm looking for in a system.
Looking forward to getting mine which is on order from Tischer.
You mentioned Dimisa tips.I did order 3.5" DiMisa tips this afternoon which I feel will look much better than the stock look.
The Dimisa tips look stunning...i assume it gets rammed into the old tip or does it go over it...not sure..Do you know?

There is NO valve in the US version. There is only a small welded on piece of metal on which you jam the vaccuum hose, to simply give it somewhere to go. The US one is all loud, all the time. Loud is a relative term, of course.

im kinda curious what this wing looks like. Since i guess the vid was taken down before i came here.. Im all for different, and would love to see how it looks. Since im sure some of the styling i have on mine/will do the majority of posters will find something wrong about it.

as for the point at hand. Nice write up of the exhaust. Sounds like it wouldnt be loud enough for me though:P

Thanks guys for the feedback and coming online...

1. The cats are still stock, but I am considering the AR DPs. I think the exhaust sound will be absolutely stunning with DPs. But still thinking...

2. I will repost the video today without the "distracted" parts since I want the focus to be on the exhaust for now anyway...

3. The in cabin experience is typical BMW...the exhaust notes are played depending on how the throttle is applied...and there are some distinct sound...the best sound is the howl at higher revs, but this is best extracted in "manual" mode for the auto guys. I envy those with manual transmissions - this exhaust will excite endlessly...

3. But we are lucky, there are some awesome quality exhausts out there that should not be overlooked...AMS, bastuck and others...
