So I have a 2009 335i xdrive e92 with 129k miles and I have a jb4, charge pipe bov, dual cone intake and for some reason I am getting a 30ff boost leak code and half check engine light. All boost lines have been changed, boost solenoids have been changed. And the car is making good boost on jb4 I am right on target, the code also doesn’t turn on right away only at highway speeds. Also have smoked it multiple times and nothing so it is something that makes it turns on when boost is going through the car. Any ideas would help thanks.

I had an intercooler hose that would come loose only under full throttle, so double-check all your hoses and connections. Other than that, the computer sees, or thinks it sees, a difference in psi somewhere between the turbos and the throttle body, so that will allow you to narrow down what it could be.

I started noticing the same thing around this same mileage. I'm now at about 170k miles almost. I changed my boost lines and next up I need to change my solenoids.

This past weekend I just changed out my valve cover gasket while I was in there I replaced a number of vacuum lines that go to the DV's the canisters and the solenoids. After reassembly everything seemed fine, even the waste gate rattle I had was substantially reduced so that was good, untill I tried to do a pull full throttle in third gear and BANG
Half Check engine Light. Never had this before I did the valve cover gasket. Checked and double checked all my connections and I haven't missed anything. I have an after market charge pipe and forge DV's that i haven't checked yet but that would be my next step.

It doesn't happen all the time if I drive normally the car feels good it's when I get on it that this happens. I'll chime back in once i go through the charge pipe and FMIC
