Ambient Temperature Sensor reads 122 degrees fahrenheit

For a couple weeks now my ambient temperature sensor reads that its 122 degrees outside. Ever since then I've been running into some issues such as my water pump being replaced as well as my vanos solenoids having to be clean due to going into limp mode and having reduction in power. Car went into limp mode again with yellow engine light indicating a loss of power. I turned off the car and turned it back on and everything ran fine. My question is, is it likely that my temperature sensor is causing this issue?
