S55 coil packs for n54?

I'm starting to see mentions on fb groups and for sale threads of S55 coil packs being used plug-n-play in n54's. I can't seem to find anything supporting these for sale ads. Thoughts/links?

I have 2 n55 coils with metal shield on my n54. I think s55 is the same.

Any advantages -- price, performance or longevity?

I got them 1y ago for about $30 each to replace dead coils. Don't know how long they would last and if they performed better than n54 coil.

They replaced dead coils and I don't blow coils often (2 in over 50k) and I only have two so not really sufficient to determine if they overdone better and to know if these would last longer. I don't have tool to test the coils. Multimeter isn't the proper way to go about it. Someone with right tools would be able to determine the differences.

They might be an improved design over our stock coils but for higher HP applications you will probably still want to go PR coils.

The posts I've been seeing claim they make the engine feel smoother. But who knows if that's just people going from old coils which have one foot in the grave to new coil packs. I haven't seen any dyno before/after.

Thanks for the other users who chimed in saying they were able to use them pnp
