Replacement key
Holy cow Batman
My E90 325i came with a single key. Just called BMW shop. $600 for replacement. WTF is this thing made of? Been told not to bother with the cheap online keys by reputable service centre. Only choice is BMW? Really |

Key
I too need a replacement key and from all the research I have conducted there is no generic alternative available...yet.
I would be very happy to be proven wrong! Bring it on... |

$600 is actually not too bad.
They are expensive and then you still need to get it coded to the car if you have comfort access. A few of us have bought OEM keys from bimmernav without issues: https://store.bimmernav.com/ You might save a little bit. |

I thought my NT510 Fox well can code /add a key. I haven't tried thought but I remember reading it before I purchased it. I mainly bought it to do the battery and injectors, but has come in handy for a multitude of scenarios. I think you can ask the tech support on the website and get the instructions. I couldn't figure something out once and they gave the specific drill down of the menus to do it once i gave them my serial number and model.
