Anyone find these for 18" rims for the rear? I don't see the factory size anywhere. Can I run a different size?

I have these of my e90 and honestly no complaints at all.

265/30-19
245/35-19

They handle great in dry conditions and do better in the wet than I expected.

I would by another set without hesitation.

Why did you go with 245/35?

I ask because I have these on 19x9 up front in 235/35 and man, they act like 225's. I'm curious if anyone else has had a similar impression? The don't stretch very well or else they aren't up to par with similar sized tires section width.

Those of you who have had these achilles atr sport tires now for a while, can you help me with my questions?

I'm thinking to get them for my 07 328i this time.

1. Are the tires noisy at all now that you've had them for some time?

2. how many miles have you all been able to get on them?

3. are they good in rain?

I've got the nexen n3000 tires now which I have put on 30K miles on them. They started getting pretty noisy after about 10K miles if i can remember correctly. The achille tires are even cheaper in price than the nexens. I mainly need tires for commuting and do not track the car or anything like that. And I only drive it normal and not aggressive either. I'm hoping to get a long lasting tire again.

I am trying to decide between the following tires. which one would you all recommend me to get this time?

1. ACHILLES Atr Sport
2. FEDERAL SS-595
3. NANKANG NS-II
4. FALKEN FK-452

thanks in advance!

Garage List
I have them on a set of 18's 245 front and 275 rear. They grip well and are pretty quiet for me. They hold up great for being so cheap. All 4 tires ran me $410. Can't beat the price and quality. Obviously if you want something real sticky for the track or something get PSS but otherwise for DD these are perfectly fine.

i bought a set back in july and have put about 8-9k miles on them. very good grip in dry weather, and pretty good in the wet. these tires seem like they last forever. im at probably 80% tread and thats even with a little bit of hooning around. they are very good tires for stretching. i will definitely being buying another set when i get new wheels within the next few months. you cant beat $340 for a good set of tires.

Barum are also a good budget tire, I had them on a type R. My review of those would be almost the same as the OPs review of the Achilles, except I'd go so far as to say they are EXCEPTIONALLY quiet in terms of road noise, and possibly not as long lived (I sold the car before they were consumed). They are also a little more expensive, but then again, they are basically Continentals, just made in Czech Republic, Barum is a sub of Continental and provides them with the rubber and designs.

I never ended up buying these tires.

Just wondering where you guys purchased them from? (web site)

Also, did Achilles change their name or were they bought out?

I've tried budget tires a couple of times (not on the BMW), and while they are always serviceable tires, its not until you put them to the test that you find out why we pay more for 'good' tires. The Nankangs were ok, but didn't last long and eventually got glazed by the shiny greek roads, simply cheap rubber. The Barums (Barum is a Czech budget tire co making to Continental's recipe with Continental rubber) were excellent, amazing grip and very very quiet, but only a few potholes later they had tumors on the sidewalls. Was a shame, I really loved the way those Barums felt, but a cheap tire is still a cheap tire, expect the unexpected (sudden failure).

At the end of the day you have to fall back on the old adage...Your tire is what keeps you on the road. Unless you drive like you're driving miss Daisy, buy good tires.
