I remember them, never used them as I rang them and seemed too rude for me.
And then I decided to google them and found a review of how shoddy their work was.

Never bothered with them.

They were recommended to me by a forum member who had their clutch delay valve removed by them but I never got round to having it done (or speaking to them). Can't therefore recommend them as such as I've not had any personal experience.

Darren Woods in Bredbury comes very highly recommended; I've been to see them but not yet used them but was impressed by what I saw & heard.

Where abouts are you based as I have used BayMoW in Stockport a few times (opposite Stepping Hill Hospital) who have always been good for me.

i took my 325i for an oil change there monday ,it was very near work and they did it in an hour ,but !!!

I went back to get my book stamped and the oil has dropped to the top up zone in 40 miles ,I asked what oil he'd put in first off he said mobile one 0w40 ,I said well thats the wrong oil as it needs 5w30 then he kept changing his mind and getting embarrased ,looks like i wasted my time and money on something I should have just done myself ,Ive topped up with 0w30 before ,because I had it in my garage from my previous car ,and the 325 really didnt like it ,it used it in less than a week ,i then topped up with 5w30 and the level was stable for months ,thats why bmw just list 5w30

based in chorlton sth mancs

Ah well, you live and learn .

Both garages I've mentioned are certainly within striking distance for you - worth the extra time & effort getting there for confidence in their work.

I used BMTec about 6 years ago and found them to be ok - corteous, prompt and reasonably priced. Always struggled to get "legally" parked anywhere near the place though.

I've also used Rockvale in Stockport. Found them to be very friendly and enthusiastic, though suprisingly not that cheap.

They're good lads there, Neil and I think Chris (?), they always pick up my cars then drop them off once they've finished; certainly helps in terms of convenience. Never had a problem with them.

ive done nearly 400miles since the oil change and the oil level hasnt moved so my theory of the oil 0/40 being too thin must be true ,and it runs great on the 5/30 as it should ,on the 0/40 it had used more than a litre in that mileage

Good lads but they need to improve a lot more. The place is over crowded and too small.

1. They never tell you when they damage or destroy something on your car, which is bad because this could destroy other things or cause an accident.

2. They seem quite reckless as every time my car went there, it came back with some damage.

3. Booking a car in is done on paper. Quite strange because they don't seem to keep any car history of work done.

Not as professional as you would think. If you love your car, this is not the place for you. I will not be using them anymore

Good for quick repair but not major stuff

Absolutely to be avoided because the manager Andy is very rude and unprofessional - please thank me later

Whilst not a BMW specialist I've always had good service from Rainsough Garage.
When they couldn't find a fault on my old subaru they didn't charge me.
Don't try to make up work and just honest.

I'll be taking my e91 there soon as I need my brakes going over and I just don't have the time to do it.
