That would be my guess aswell. If it starts around March, then early 2026 is a good time.

just watched several review on the new ix3. Although I don't like the front grill too much, it does raise my expectation on the upcoming 3 series - the revealed ix3 is quite close to the previous leak/rendering so if the real 3 series is like that it will be a good looker.
and patiently wait for the new X5 leak/revealation... |

Just put money down on a new M850i Heritage M edition that is being built in Nov and delivered in Jan. Price is steep so I am starting to have second thoughts. They are only making 500 and selling them primarily in the States and Japan. Any thoughts? I am worried about depreciation and if anyone would even consider it special after a couple of years since its not a "true" M....

Among current EVs I'd say the iX, i4 and i7 have the more challenging designs while the i5 and other iX*s are slightly more held back. For the NK, the iX3 is clearly on the bold side, while it seems the i3 will be more conventionally appealing. We will see. |

One unknown, however, is the 500-units-only production run. It is barely conceivable this will have some moderating influence upon the rate of depreciation - at least in this country. Generally, people lease or buy these cars when they're new because they can afford them, they're willing to accept the rate of depreciation (assuming they understand it), and it's a model that meets their needs. My 2¢, of course. I think the 850s are terrific cars and gave a great deal of consideration to buying one myself. I would have taken advantage of the depreciation by buying one of the low-mileage units mostly spec'd the way I would have ordered one new and costing roughly half of new. A variety of non-financial circumstances finally convinced me that my days of buying cars like this (former M6 owner here) are now behind me. ![]()

I am asking, if there generally not yet an EOP date for the iX. It will be kinda obsolete, once the iX5 launches.

Yeah, but only i20. Not the rest, which is odd. But yes, there apparently is really no EOP for the iX.

Since i20 is a chassis number with a bespoke architecture, it covers only the iX45, iX60 and ix70M vehicles. They will all go away at the end of the 2028 model year. There will be several models beginning with the letters "iX" that will be based on either CLAR or NK architecture which will be in production until at least 2035.

That is absolutely not, what I meant. But I got my question answered. I20 is the model designation for the iX, not a iX 20 like a 520i. Missunderstood.
