I have LCI xenons on my 330 with the adaptive function disabled, with plans to upgrade the projectors to G5s. I already bought the brackets from the forum member here, just need to order the plastic lenses and projectors.
I considered upgrading the inner cornering lights to a dedicated high beam LED, but my concern is aiming it properly. I'm not familiar with the beam pattern of any of the dedicated LED high beams and I'd hate to be stuck with some bright spots aimed incorrectly. There's no way to adjust the aim of those inner lights. My setup only uses those inner lights for flash-to-pass (pulling the stalk) so I may just keep that but use a LED bulb inside the halogen housing for the cornering lights. |

Someone else put LED fog lights in the cornering lights; they also look like a tight fit but could be aimed upwards when installed to function as high beams. https://www.hidplanet.com/forum/show...ite-demon-eyes. If you’re just looking for cosmetic improvement, you could replace the fresnel lens with a lens from a projector. Or for actual high beam performance, put bi-LED projectors in the fog lights and tap the existing high beam wire to them. |

I'm preparing to do the same retrofit on mine. Were there any issues or revisions needed as far as aligning the projectors goes? Are you still able to aim them with the adjustment screw?

I wanted to replace the inner beam (cornering lights) with a dedicated high beam projector since I disabled the adaptive function, but the LED high beams are somewhat directional and would look weird if they weren't aimed properly. There's no way to adjust those once they're mounted inside the light housings. |

There are standard retrofit brackets which utilize the existing frame in your headlights but let you install the G5 projectors, then there are complete adaptive bracket assemblies (sold by lightwerkz among other retailers) that replace the plastic adaptive bracket. I used the standard one on my E93 which required a LOT of trimming, to both the plastic bracket and to the new projectors. Definitely not plug and play. I personally bought another option, a set of custom brackets from a forum member here which replaces the entire plastic adaptive headlight bracket with a metal one, but *doesn't* have the adaptive side-to-side swivel. I bought these before I knew about the complete bracket assemblies, though I haven't installed them yet. |

I'm actually not aware of a left/light adjustment screw on the housing; maybe I just missed it. For me to aim them left and right, I had to go in and access to bulb directly, and, holding on to the base of the bulb with my thumb and index finger while it was installed in the projector housing, gently aim the base of the bulb left/right, which causes the whole projector to aim left/right. It adjusts in discrete little ticks and stays in place well with each tick. I did it with gloves on to not get grease/oil on the base of the bulb, and would keep the lights off until I was ready to the adjustment, so I could see live how the adjustment was going without the base getting too hot. It's not something you want to do very often, but you shouldn't need to do the left/right aiming more than once if you do it right, and you can adjust it very precisely this way. Note my xenon headlight housings were a retrofit as I originally had halogens, and in connection with the retrofit I did not try getting the autolevelling or the adaptive features to work.
