The 335i mounts are different from the 335d mounts. The ‘d’ uses ones that are vacuum actuated. I think the ‘I’ is electronic? Not sure

Yes they are different. I think the 335i is a plain rubber mount, no vacuum or electronic control.
If you can pull the bottom engine belly cover, you can compare the height of the left mount to the right engine mount. That should tell you if one mount has collapsed.
