Adaptive headlight SMC module
Hey everyone, I'm looking for a (Xenon) Adaptive module (SMC) for my headlight. After last week's rain, my headlight threw in the towel.
Prior issues led to a crack in the headlight, condensation etc... and I opened up the SMC module to find it wet, corroded, and toast. I tried cleaning it up and drying out the PCB but still getting "9CBE - Communication with step motor controller on the right disrupted". I was able to fix the crack properly this time, so that should seal things up again. So if someone has an old broken headlight, spare AHL, etc. let me know what you want for it, and let's get this sorted out. Last edited by djh2; 07-18-2017 at 12:27 PM.. |

Sourced a donor headlight from eBay - I have the setup for coding it, so we'll see how this goes.

Success! I default coded the "new" SMC and everything is good again.
PSA: If your xenon gets condensation, find the crack and fix it before it is too late! |
