2001 auto renault clio starter motor location??

Hi all

A bit of a wild post here but i really need to know where the starter motor is on this car, hopefully someone with experience or old grey steve etc can advise

Common problem has occurred where the car is not starting or turning over and although most forums point to the connector on solenoid valve on the starter, there is no diy

Car is 1.4 petrol auto

Thanks for the help

Thanks for the replies, what is best way to access and does anything need to be removed? Tried to find it yesterday and could not see it anywhere

I need to get to the solenoid wire first to clean contact and if that fails need to whack the solenoid to see if its sticking

Car wont start

The small solenoid connector was prone to corrode and cause non start.youll need the car up on Ramps or a jack to get at the rear of the engine.
