from what i understand, this item (13537547883), fits almost all BMWs? When I looked at it at tischers, it says 535xi, 535i. But on another website, it shows fitment for a lot of BMW cars from 06+.

i have no idea... i assume it's safe... as i think i was driving mine for several hundred miles before replacing it......

i had gotten codes i was too lazy to look up.... then the hpfp died... found that code at the same time.... i think it was a few hundred miles old....

car was running great.. then one morning... would barely start/run... got hpfp codes...

did the lp fuel sensor cause it... i really don't know..... kinda doubt it....

My car had this code for awhile and everytime I cleared it, it would pop right back. Car was running strong with this code. For some strange reason I cleared the code about two months ago and it hasn't come back, so I am thinking it was a faulty sensor. I did buy the sensor which I was going to replace it but since the car was running perfect I waited but now there is no longer this code so I have no idea what the happened. From what I hear this low pressure sensor has alot of problems with it trigger false codes

Yeah, SA said that it would Make the Fuel Pump run at Max capacity all the time. They wanted like 500$ to replace it. They said that if i replaced it myself, that it would need to be programmed. bs?

Yes, a couple here recently. You must remove the charge pipe, throttle, and possibly lift or remove the manifold. It's under the manifold, against the block, on the fuel feed pipe up to the back of the HPFP.

I just changed it out myself. It's a PITA to get to, it's not hard but it requires removal of intake box, chargepipe, throttle body, and the manifold to access this low pressure sensor. It requires a large 13/16 open end wrench to take this sensor out. Once you gain access to the sensor it takes literally 5 minutes to change it out.

Has anyone posted a DIY and taken pictures of the process? I have had this code for a while I clear it every time (JB4) and it comes back. Sometimes it would go weeks without it coming back. Car drives fine but sometimes I notice when I turn the car on, I can feel the car sputtering a bit. Usually on cold starts. I notice this began after I HPFP change and O2 b1S1 change.

cn555ic - Looks like in your past post's that you had this code for a long time, maybe 2+ years

Did you notice any other issues????

Anyone have the correct part # for a 335i? 13537614317 is a 7 Series part.

Removal of the intake manifold is not necessary. I did this repair recently and did not take the intake manifold off. The repair does require removal of the wiring/junction box to access the sensor. The trick to removing the box is to apply upward force on the end of it, as if trying to bend it upwards, so that the locking tabs recede and then it slides out. Plenty of room to access the sensor once that's done.

yea, take the intake and throttle body off, move the wiring harness and you are set. took me 30 minutes; the DCI and aftermarket charge pipe makes its easier.

the real question i have is how many people are having this issue, and better yet, how many people are having this issue shortly after using E85. I am now thinking E85 accelerated the aging of the sensor.

Im having the exact same problem. My car wont boost all the way either, it went from 16 psi max to 14 psi according to the gauge hijack I'm using. What I don't understand is that other people claim that their cars are running fine even with the faulty sensor, but my car feels sluggish is seems before I had the fault.

Mines hit or miss. I really feel like I'm currently driving two cars. Sometimes it runs like a dream, other times I feel like I'm not getting any power whatsoever. Ordered a new LPFS, hoping it solves the issues, currently the only code I'm getting.

I've read in a previous thread that there are two LPFS Im not sure if that's true or not and if that's the case will I be better off replacing both or just the one need. Also, how would I know which one to replace if there is two?
