What Oil is best for my 335i??
Hi - ive had a low oil level warning come up and wondered what is best oil to top up with??
I have some Castrol TWS 10w-60 - that i had left over from when i had my M3 - will that be ok to use to top her up??? |

I think it's 0W-30 LL-04. Castrol EDGE is what you'd be getting from the dealership. It needs to be fully synthetic, not a synthetic blend.

I run 0w40 Castrol edge sport...
Fully synthetic And a bit more up to abuse if you know what I mean... SJ |

Both are equal to the task. I run Castrol Edge 0W-30 in the BMW and Mobil-1 10W-30 in the Toyota. I figure if you use what the manufacturer recommends you can't be blamed if something goes wrong unless you've ignored the maintenance schedule.
