N54 power kick at 3k rpms

Hi Guys,

I'm confused (it's first car with turbo in my life), can you tell me if you have the same thing. When I'm accelerating (medium, not hard and not slow) on 1, 2, 3 gear and reaching 3k rmps I feel hit of power. It feels like turbo kicks in

and engine pulls like devil till the end of rmps. On 4,5,6 gear there is no such thing.

Is it normal or there is something with bosst?

Vacuum lines are changed, seals from intercooler, charge pipe also changed. Intake valves cleaned from carbon, spark plugs changed- no missfires or errors. Enginge runs smooth just this kick of power is noticable exactly at 3k rmps.

Did you buy this car from someone else? It could be running some kind of time that has the Wastegate fix, basically where boost hits hard to not allow the Wastegate to rattle.

I'm just guessing at this point. Got a code reader?

Yes, I'm second owner and car was driven like daily, no hard threat

it has 168k km on the clock and it has full service history... HPFP, coils, injectors were changed by BMW dealer under warranty...

Yes, I have checked all codes and there is nothing... I was wondeiring if wastegates are ok but no rattling and car pulls like mad, no power looses.

Is this car running a tune? Maybe MHD or JB4?

Car is stock

no mods for now. I want to reset all adaptations, maybe it has somekinde of bug because I noticed that sometimes it goes away and runs smooth. I was thinking about throttle body, it was cleaned and maybe need to have adaptation also?

My car does this same thing. The boost is very noticeable that I have to factor it in so I am not caught unprepared as the car flies after that. Its had the same injector replacements as yours and it's done about 98k Miles. I figured it was normal so good to ask.
