That's right, they share the n52 engine.

Have you noticed a change in gas mileage?

This reminds me of the e36 328i mod that involves taking a e36 325i manifold because of its bigger airways...it was an easy way to get 15-20hp for less than 300$.

That sounds very good.Does anybody know if there is a 3.0 stroker kit for the 325si?
Kuf-tuning has a 3.2 stroker kit but it is too expensive.I think that it is possible a 3 litre stroker kit. What do you think?

Well mine already came as a 3.0L so I don't about a stroker kit. Those kind of things are really expensive and don't really give you much power.

Well done

I'm really curious to know if the 3 stage intake manifold off the 330i (3.0l) will fit onto a '07 325i but with the 2.5l N52. I've got a euro spec E92 325.

Also sorry for my incompetence but how does the software side of things work when it's installed, does powerchip just develop a custom map to suit the manifold mods?

You have the 325 3.0si n52 which outputs 218 ps or the 325 2,5si n52 which outputs 218 ps too?

Yeah im interested too since i have the 2.5L version of the N52 in my 325. I don't think there would be any issue with the manifold, etc fitting but the i don't know about the software side.

Yeah it could be the same but it could be different due to it being a 3.0l engine vs our 2.5l engine. I wouldn't know or have access to anyone in Australia that is able to flash it with E90 330i software so a custom tune/map would be my only solution

The other thing to consider might be about space issues in the 1 series vs the 3 series or the X3. It might just be more crammed around the intake manifold...? Does this make sense or does same engine
mean same space?

very nice gains. about time someone did it correctly.. Though I think 18% losses is a little high for these cars. Those numbers are right on par with a few 328i dynos I've seen. I've seen a couple 330i 6MTs dyno around 220-230whp. but nevertheless, those are very good gains on a 325i, and you may get more once the software is figured out.

I've had a 330i intake manifold sitting in the closet for over a year.. guess it's time to actually use it now!.

I really want to get an exhaust too. That should help that little bit on the high end where the torque drops off a little. I was thinking about doing a compression test when I change the spark plugs again. I wanna see how much my mileage is affecting the car.

Wish there was a baseline/before dyno to confirm gains.
Great mod and good job getting the word out on what is soon to become a must have 325/328 n52 mod.

E90pilot: When you had you 330 intake manifold w/o the tune, was your car running ok? I would do this mod right now if it were'nt for the tune being 950$. If I wanted to drop 2 grand on 30hp I would just trade my car in for a 330xi and get the status with it as well...
Ps:I'm running 330 exhaust on my car and I could swear it gave me a little more pep .

In my case I had the tune installed before the intake, but the car will run fine either way. As for a befor dyno, I tried to get one but there was a miscommunication with the place that had the dyno. I've seen dynos of 325s at about 185 whp.
