Winter detail - sore arms!!

Gave the 335d its winter clean up and detail. Car is generally immaculate as its cleaned intensively every weekend but like when I have a chance to give it a good polish and wax.

Between yesterday and today it has had 2 coats of Autoglym Super Resin Polish, paint was in decent condition so didn't need clayed. Then 2 coats of Raceglaze 55 Wax which is great stuff and really easy to use. Windows cleaned in and out with Autoglym Glass Cleaner, wheels polished and sealed, tyres dressed and exhaust tips cleaned with Autoglym Metal polish.

Looks great, nearly worth the sore arms that I have. Probably will be pouring next time it goes out but my aim is really to get a good protective coat on the car which is what I have achieved.

X5 is next ................

Hard to get motivated in this shite weather. Still it's nice to have a shiny car. You use a da or the like Davy?

Wish someone would give my 640 a winter/autumn/spring clean, cos I cannot be arsed. It hasn't seen a washmit since at least August I think.

Car is still inside so its hard to get decent pics.

Not using a DA, all my hand. Have been tempted often to buy a machine but never quite gone for it. One of my concerns is that a machine seems to be a slower job.

Depends what the job is, If your filling swirls using super resin polish then by hand is ok.

But if your correcting swirl marks using cutting compounds then obviously Machine would be much faster and convenient.

So all depends on what condition your paint work is in Davesterk31.

Which I am assuming is in very good condition.

What DA do you use Brian?

Paint is in very good condition but of course a DA could perfect it further.
