UPDATE:For anyone who's still in for the thread, my car is at the body shop being estimated. About 90 % if not all of the car is getting repainted and the dents removed Also, the quarter panel damage was deemed too large to fix so they are comepletely chopping and replacing it

Makes any difference I had a car in Boston parked 2 streets over from Comm Ave., and it was destroyed inside as if they just sat in there for an hour. I had a higher end viper alarm that meant nothing to them. Quick hood pop, and battery disconnect. Wallah, insurance helped out plus I got an upgraded touchscreen, but you still have a damn deductible.

ouch, that's horrible. Was it the motion sensor alarm? im gonna have the alarm hooked up from the battery in the trunk and hide the alarm box somewhere basically invisible. was it on your bmw?

hmm.. questionable. if they call it a total, i might just end up fixing the car slowly since it still drives but just needs new paint and dent repair. i'll let you know though.
i doubt it'll be called totalled though. all it needs is a new qp, door, glass and a fresh paint job all around. But like i said, i'll let you know

Sorry for your loss, don't drive a nice car in to the ghetto next time unless your a pimp or a drug dealer. Also if you had an alarm system, you would have come out to protect your car only to get shot or beat up by bunch or hoodlums.

Well see the thing is, I stay well armed enough and i can shoot back if needed. if there was a bunch of guys, i'd just shoot one in the air which would scare anyone off. if i had to fight however, my friends stay down block so that wouldn't be a problem either. Sad to say, i do only stay down the street also so its not like i have a choice whether to drive it or park it in the "ghetto"

someone random wouldn't dent the car up and key it like they did. It seems like they sat there for 10 minutes and made sure they keyed the entire car up. A random break in would've just been maybe 1 dent from messing up and the broken glass with no other dents or key marks nor my tires slashed

I feel your paint ive had similar things happy to my car and let me tell you even if you dont do anything wrong people will hate,because you may be good looking you may have money you may have a gorgeous gf what ever the case they are threatened by you.. so your doing something right although bad attention is caused when doing good which sucks.

You're right :/ that's why im gonna tint my car from now on and change the look of it. Then im gonna get a regular daily driver and tint that also but leave it stock so they wont know who it is and so they cant hate
