Wow man. Can't believe you've gone through so much with this car, SC, MILV...
I remember you checking out my thread for the 335i exhaust I put in my old 328i and now you're here :P
I've been beating on my full bolt on now 335i for year haha, did so much to the car already just haven't been active here, but excited for all the mods you've done

Check out my new thread with pics of my 335i if interested

Thats awesome!
If I were to get another, I'd want a 335d! All the torque they make sounds to be an EZ sleeper!

I'll peep that thread tonight!

the 335d torque is sex, I was considering one too but driving a fbo 335i wants me to get more power and do single jingle

Finally installing mine Saturday, and got my ESS coding/tune ready to go!

Any more feedback on how you like your setup now a few weeks later?

dude the thing is great!
I notice I slightly fish tail if I get on 1st gear from a stop, however, no traction loss indicator.... Maybe the Lord sez get new suspension.
Passing power is better too! I have those weenies here in VA.. for instance, theres a merge lane and there was one of those older v6 tacomas.. IDK if he gave up/ left off.. I know I did, 55 comes before I know it. (I know, Im a fast b0i.) But I overtook him. I know if I rowed completely through 2nd I would've been at a speed more than worthy to get me knee deep. You won't be disappointed. I leave in a few weeks for a couple months:/ But when I get back, I will figure out what to do next: Furthering the kit, suspension (most likely.. stock m sport suspension from factory on a 12 year old car that I have fun in ), or diff.

Post it when you're done!

Noir... I know I speak for a few of us when I ask this...

Can we get a acceleration video? I really want to see how the BPC tuned SC fares vs the older SC set ups! You have MILVs also, correct?

grocery store run today after work w/ m'lady.
I can have her hold the phone since its awkward holding and shifting- especially when it gets squirrely in 1st.

A diff should help. Not cheap. Solid bushings should help too(you will get diff whine).

I would get meth and a smaller pulley and retune vs. spending the money on a diff. Should be about the same cost I imagine. I only say that because how often are you going WOT from a stop or even in 1st gear?

I disagree... I think a 3.73 swap with LSD would likely produce more felt (seat of the pants) gain than a smaller pulley and meth. Not to mention the drivability improvement of the LSD.

He would gain 15% more torque to the ground so like a felt improvement equivalent of maybe 40ft/lbs at the engine.

Ideally you do both of course but I would do diff which is proven and easy swap vs being a long distance guinea pig for meth and tuning. The remote tuning is a can of worms with untested set ups, at least it was for me.

LOL
Thanks for bringing the dankness in.

Thats the plan though!
In whichever order, is up in the air-

The fatter injectors and tune to accompany for e85 and a smaller pulley + meth will probably be shy of 2.5k whilst a diff from diffs online is an easy 3.5k "investment"

I've wanted a diff for a while now pretty much for the reasons big put up and just making that power delivery.. whew. Gettin myself all moist thinkin about it.

It'll all work out... my time in the Navy is coming to an end. Debt will practically be non-existent by the time Im out anyways.

I'll make both happen for sure. And then some other stuff too.

You can buy a take off 3.73 off eBay and have it shipped directly to Mfactory, they will rebuild the diff, install lsd, and then ship to you for less than $2k “all in” (with buying the used diff, shipping both ways, and lsd included less than $2k.)

That’s what I did. Mfactory may not be as top shelf as Diffsonline but it’s almost half the price and I have no regrets.

Mfactory has a good rep with the N54 guys fwiw. If you can do that under 2k go for it. While you are in their I would consider stiffer bushings.

4.11s would be interesting but 3.73 is probably better.

https://www.stangnet.com/mustang-for...rience.824679/ not apples to apples.

3.73 is good, just do it you won’t regret it! I would not do anything less than 3.73, I even swapped my 3.73 to a 3.91 a couple months ago.

I’ve bought 2 of them, my first 3.73 for $230 delivered and the second 3.91 was $205 delivered. Figured why not try it for $205 and I’m glad I did.

When the weather gets cooler I’ll do a quarter mile run and get a actual slip, but it’s the same number of shifts to get up 105mph with all three diffs (3.23/3.73/3.91) and I was hoping to get to 103-105 in the quarter mile and all 3 diffs, and even a 4.11, would do at least 110 in 4th. (Btw I haven’t gotten to 103mph before anyone asks but I hope to get a slip at 102 this winter based on my testing so far.)

The bottom line is I’m into 4th Gear end of quarter mile no matter which diff I’m using so extra shifting in the quarter isn’t an issue with any of them.

I'm south of you north of Charlotte and have a 6MT and a 3.64 mfactory I'm needing to install either this weekend or next. If you're in the area late sept/oct before you'd decide if you're welcome to give her a rip!

Do you need to do anything to rev to 7500 safely? Does Bob know what the max is without headwork? I bet an 8k rev line would sound awesome the more the better.

I did my own calculations and piston velocity was within safe limits also at 7500rpms. At 8200 it is defiantly too high for me to feel comfortable. I did my calculations based on an interview with Steve Dinan where he said “Do not exceed 4500 ft/min piston velocity because it wears rings”

The 3.0 litre models of the N52 have a bore of 85 mm (3.3 in), a stroke of 88 mm (3.5 in) and when I ran the numbers 7500rpms came out to around 4300 or so ft/min.
