BMW OIL?

So today I went to Rallye to pick up the oil and filter to do an oil change on my e92 335i. The car has 8000 on it and since I am planning on keeping it after my lease I want to do my oil changes a bit more frequently than BMW pays for.

I did one that I paid the dealer for at 1500 right after break in..and now I am planning on one every 7500...So basically I pay for every other one. This time I figured hey the weather is nice, I will do it myself and save some coin.

I go to RALLYE MOTORS and get totally ass raped and they didn't even use any lube on me!

$8.10 per quart x 7
$15.9 for the oil filter.
Total with tax 78 and change

I did a quick search and there are people paying 3.00 a quart from there dealer for the same shit I bought...

Does every dealer on Long Island rape you for OIL and not even bother to use KY or is it just RALLYE?

Any experiences?

My dealer, Habberstad, charges $75 for an oil change. That's including the parts and labor.

So I guess habberstad who is about 18 miles east of rallye doesn't need to make money

Rallye charges 8.10 per quart.
Habberstad 5.00 per quart.

Rallye charges $135.00 for an oil change.
Habberstad charges $85.00 for an oil change.

That is a big enough difference to go to habberstad. I already bought the oil and filter from rallye total came to $78 I am not going to return it..But now I know for the future, that for what I paid just in parts from Rallye I can have them do the labor and let their techs get dirty for just $7 dollars more.

That's wierd. Last time they charged me $75. They actually charged me $65 for the first oil change which was when my car arrived at the dealership after my Euro Delivery trip. $85 is still a good deal though.
