Both turbos are in.

with the front turbo i had to assemble the rear oil line and install the front turbo then add the other lines when turbo is mounted on the block.
That way the turbo actually fits onto the block. Don't install the coolant pipe connecting to water pump until front turbo is on.

Well done Brendan. You deserve a beer or two or ten after it's all back together. Look forward to your first impressions.

Isn't that the vacuum out port from the boost solenoid?

Filled up coolant and oil.

Did the 10 minute coolant bleed where you put heat on hottest setting and fan speed on low then hold accelerator for 10 seconds while ignition is on.

Then took each coil out and primed turbos.

Put coils back in and it started straight up.

Had some smoke which i was shitting about but it went away after a minute.

I do not have gasket between DP and exhaust so it sounds like a tractor, quiet tractor.

I have the gasket, BT cable and clutch valve ordered a week ago so they should be here early this week.

Then i can take it for a drive after i put race flash on it and put gaskets on.

Nice work mate!

So if you could pay someone $2k to install them or DIY which would you have chosen?

I would definitely like to pay 2k for some else to install them.

I couldn't find anyone that would do it.

I definitely would not go to Darwin BMW as they have limited skills and average customer service.

Installed new DP gaskets. Holy shit this engine is now quiet!

No more rattle rattle.

Turbo makes more noise just driving casually.

I have only been for a 5km drive slowly.

Cant wait for BT cable to turn up.

I still have a boost tip in problem that i thought was because of the stock turbos but its still there with RB's.

Wow awesome!!! And great to hear mate!!

I'll be replacing all the vacuum lines on the hot side of the engine once my stuff arrives. Last thing I want is a boost leak.

Have you checked the lines that run above the oil filter location? Those are especially prone to cracking.

Hats off to you. I guess you were forced to do this on your own given your location and the lack of someone reliable but it is still an awesome achievement!

JB4335
10 and 12 were set very high for stock turbos, 10 - 45 12 - 40
Changed 10 to 25 and 12 to 32.

Those are close to stockish no.s I think.

INK
I put all new vacuum lines on hot side. The ones near oil filter were replaced when I first got the car (which had a broken nipple under intake)

JJH335
Forced to do this job yes!

Now trying to find tuning.
I have JB4 and Cobb currently and a BT cable arriving any day.

I'm getting worried about all the people saying pray and it might work for BB flash on a 2007.

Thinking $250 might be better spent on pro tune

Definitely worth it based on personal experience with Cobb. But I am with stock turbos.

Yea I'm thinking that way.

If BB doesnt work it is going to cost me $200+ for a tow and 500+ at the dealer.

I was keen on jb4 as it has 1st and 2nd boost limiter, wastgate adjustment,.... apparently better low end torque then cobb can get with flash only.
