19x10 ET38 & 285s on the rear E92??
I have a set of M3 rep wheels in 19x9 & 19x10. The rear is ET38 with a 265/30/19. I'd like to move up to a wider tire. Looks like a 275 would fit no problem but really i'd like a 285. I have a fender roller on hand. This is for a 2008 335i e92. Stock suspension for now but coilovers are coming soon.

Hours of searching on here and g00gle I found this thread. Second page has my answer. Literally a twin to my car.
https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...=795141&page=2 Seems like a roll and slight pull gets the job done. I'm going to wait on tires though until I install my coilovers. |

Meaning a 295 would only be 2mm closer to the fender than his 265... What I REALLY wanna know is if a 295/30 will fit on 19x10 ~et40, to run Proxes RR's for a massive, 40tw tire that's only ~$500/pair. They're the step up from R888R and $80 cheaper per tire. Now that would be a god-tier summer tire. |

Looking at post 29 it looks like a slight pull. Difficult to say though. Either way is fine with me. I thinking I'm going to move from 235/265 setup to a 245/285

Found this also. "LC LM reps. 19 x 10 with ET37 in the rear. ran 285/30/19 with rolled fender but no 295s." Same guy said he did try 295s and would not fit. That was an e92
Must not be alot of people running/posting tires wider than 275's cause it's hard info to find. |

My M437s are 19x10 +40. 275/30/19 PS4S rubbed on the fender edge and liner. After my best attempt at a roll without a pull, they still rub a touch. This is on a 2010 E92 with MSport suspension, stock alignment.
A touch more camber, or a slight pull would fix it. 285s would likely need a good bit of work, depending on brand/model as they are not all equal. |

What tires are you running for 285/30? None that I want (200tw or below) come in that size afaik.
Emilime75 That is odd since I have a buddy with those wheels running a 275/35 R888R with no rubbing. I don't THINK he's rolled but I'm not sure. 30 profile should be even easier to fit. Could be the Michelin's running wider. |

You guys have to remember that every car is slightly different, and so is every tire brand/model. When you start getting close to max fitment, even just a millimeter counts. Alignment also makes a big difference.
@Yotaismygame A 10" +40 pokes out 2mm more than your +38, and 1.4mm more than than your brother's 9.5 +35. Contis may also run narrower and/or have more rounded shoulders that Michelin PS4S. @Vivek Not sure what to tell you. I'd guess the triple 8s wouldn't be any narrower than the Michelins. Maybe he's not as low as MSport and/or he's running more than stock camber? |

I ordered a pair of Goodyear eagle f1 asym 2's for cheap off tire rack ($160 each) in 275/30/19. Going to see how they fit after I install coilovers this weekend. If I feel like I could make 285s work after a roll I'm going to order 245s for the front and 285s for the back. After selling my current Hankook v12's and then possibly the Goodyears it really wont cost me all that much to mess around with sizes. I almost pulled the trigger on tire machines last month. Wish I did!

My fronts are 245/35 PS4S on 19x9 +29 wheels. Lowered slightly via trimming of the locating tab on the strut, roughly 1/2" lower than stock MSport. I only rub slightly on the oil cooler vent when in reverse and full lock of the steering.

Good to know. I'll probably order 245s regardless of what I do with the rear. I've never owned rims with tires that needed to stretch to make them work. I wouldnt say I dont hate the look of the 235/265 combo on 9/10" wheels but they definitely have a stretched look too them. I think i'll like the beefy tire look better. I also don't care how low the car is just as long as it looks appropriate. So if bigger tires means I can maintain a good look without going as low seems like a win win.

19s and the tire sizes we're talking about here are not what most would call "beefy". For that, you'd want 18s, maybe even 17s. There's been a couple of threads on here of people putting up pics of meaty setups on our chassis, might want to look for them for examples.

Well this front wheel is proving to be difficult to fit with a 245/35 tire. Rim is a 19x9 et35. No spacer and the locking collars on my coilovers hit the rim lip. But that痴 okay cause it goes low enough anyways if I keep the collars higher. But now with this 245 the tire is making contact with the spring. So I raised it up some more to clear. Barely clears now and I知 basically at stock height. Been doing reading on smaller spacers and man it goes both ways. Okay to use and not okay to use. I知 worried that 10mm will be too aggressive. It値l give me the clearance I need inside but then will put me at a offset of 25! 19x9 et25 is pretty aggressive. 3 or 5mm sounds best but how safe are non hubcentric spacers?

I'm tempted to buy new wheels. These 9" & 10" are proving to be more difficult to fit the tire sizes and look I'm after. I'd rather have a 8.5" in the front and run a 235 which would net little stretch if any. I guess the rear is fine.. The look compared to the 235/265 is way different now with 245/275 and for the better IMO

Just went and played with the height during my lunch and I think a 5mm will be perfect. I can almost get it as low as I want now. Just need a little more space. For the rear with no roll yet I barely rub but so far I've only driven alone and not very aggressive.
