Trying to trace down a coolant leak on my e90 and after removing the front under panel this piece fell out:

Thanks to colorado.e9x I know that is a little vibration bumper that sits on a stud on the frame rail under your air filter box. I found the same thing with the same "huh?".

I heard tales they were left by engine bay gremlins when they were in there doing the nasty but IDK if they're true. Saying it's a vibration damper for your airbox does sound like a made up story when you're caught red cheeked tho.

They say to never feed a gremlin after midnight. My question is this; When is it NOT after midnight?
