Man they look very similar to the OPT7s. They didn't fit in my current headlights, which are some crappy eBay ones the PO put in. Looks like I might have to return them.
Does anyone have a picture of the opening for the low beam bulb by chance? Last edited by noah.s; 10-16-2016 at 09:38 PM.. |

Hi all. I just bought a set of these lights for my 2011 LCI, but got the pre LCI lights since they were about 30% cheaper. Mine have the white brow, but I will take mine apart prior to install to paint the brow and correct the projector cutoff which will eliminate the flare of light on the right side as to not blind everyone t ok the right of my car.
As for OPT7, they are a great company with awesome customer service. I have used their HID kits in 3 cars now, and long term reliability is good. I used to use morimoto prior to that, but from my experience, opt7 are just as good. Their 55w HID kit is what's waiting to go in these lights. |

Ok, so I finally go around to taking these apart. Before I took them apart, I put in an HID bulb in one of them and connected it to my car to get a "before" example of the beam pattern. Obviously it's the one on the right.
After that I started taking these apart. There are a few clips around the perimeter of the light, these are easy to take off. Opening this light was a PITA. Not as bad as factory, but the adhesive they use is better than most OEMs, I was impressed. I used a heat gun to heat the adhesive and cut with a utility knife. You gotta be careful taking these apart as there is wiring inside for the Halos and whatnot. Once apart, you can disconnect the Halo wiring, but not the LED side markers. Getting the face with the halo attached out of the clear lens was an absolute PITA as well, it's like they pressed it in. I was able to get it out with some Trim removal tools. Here are the Projector measurements for those that wanted them, in Inches and millimeters. And the last pic for now, here you can see the cutoff shield that needs to be modified. Yeah, I should have some updates this weekend. Trying to determine if I should wrap the brow or if I should paint it. The problem is that the trim with the halos and all was pressed into the polycarb clear housing and if I paint it, I fear it will scratch when I put it back in. That and if I paint it I will have to wait a week for the paint to stop off gassing so it won't fog up the inside of the lens.
