Question High Powered Kit from HighPoweredBulbs.com

Hi All,

I am picking up my first BMW in about a week or so (have to go to FL to get it), and one of the first things I want to do when I get back is upgrade the interior lighting to LEDs. I read a few reviews on here about Highperformancebulbs.com, but the most recent in-depth review was from two years ago - at least thats what it seemed like when I searched.

I wanted to see if anyone has this kit for their e92 - http://www.highperformancebulbs.com/bmwe92hipoin.html I was looking at the high powered kit + upgrading all the options to their higher output option.

Lastly, I was thinking about swapping the license plate modules with the 24LED ones they offer as well.

Thoughts on these? Or are the upgraded options -- too bright?

Lol I've never understood why anyone would want to make their license plate more visible.

I went with the Oem style kit for the interior. Probably the equivalent of the F30 interiors.

We've been offering HPB lights for nearly a decade and have by no accident great feedback and continued happy customers.

I also run everything they offer for the E9X on my personal cars as well as my others cars.

Feel free to support either of us for all your lighting needs.

I have them in mine. In my opinion, they were a bit too bright. I used some of my black vinyl from where I had wrapped my dash to cover some of the diodes. Still the same look but not nearly as bright, also added a little ambiance to the car at night. Clean and classy.

Interesting tip.

For those not familiar there are 3 stages of kits for brightness and then the Max Output now has some upgrades for modules in the footwell, courtesy lights and trunk for even more output. We've hoped to cover all the demands people have wanted in terms of output and flexibility.

As always we appreciate any feedback to make improvements.

I installed the OEM HPB interior LED lights from TopGearSolutions a couple years ago and they all always flickered intermittently. Not super annoying but annoying nonetheless. Let me know if you guys experience any flickering.

Random intermittent flickering sounds like a contact connection issue. Either the contact themselves is out of alignment or they can be dusty dirty or corroded. It could also be an indication of an FRM module on the fritz.

I'd double check your connections and clean them and ensure there is no corrosion and making good contact.

If anyone has any questions or concerns we do encourage direct contact. Feel free to contact us after you've checked/cleaned the connections and let us know if you still have issues. We'd hate to have future customers deterred over something as simple as corroded contacts or a simple exchange. All HPB products do come with a warranty and less then .25% failure rate.
