I have had it come up three times...I now have the warning light..and I just got back from the dealer after having REPLACED THE BRAKE PADS in the rear. I have an Alcon BBK in the front...but it has lots of pads left. It is definitely a quirk with both the E90 and E92 335 cars..this happened on mine BEFORE I installed the BBK on my car.

I just wanted to make sure incase BMW said something to me about it. The reason I thought there could be a slight possibly is that the tech told me something was up with the DTC module. I was just trying to cover my butt; it wasn't like when I first saw the warning message I immediately attributed it to the SSTT.

Took mine in last week for service. They reset the warning light, saying that the car was giving an indication that the brakes needed to all be changed.

Took her back home, and two minutes later the SSTT was back in place.

I really doubt the SSTT would have anything to do with the brake sensor.

we have a 335 that has had 5 new sets of brake pads in like...35k...with 2 owners so its not like its just one owner clubbing it...and every module and test comes out to pass and work...
