They come with a catted downpipe from factory, is that what you want? a stock one?

I agree 100% with purchasing a catted DP, however the high flow cats do expire (turn to shit and become essentially catless) after X amount of time so be careful with buying one used. The labour to install and remove twice will be more expensive than buying new once.
Google Extreme power house - that’s who I’d buy from. Mike is great. |

I did read that the sound changes a bit with time . I did check out extreme power house , was about $1400 supplied (a while ago). I am hoping to find an Aussie seller to reduce postage hopefully. Is yours an N54 or N55 ? |

When I say expire, I know they stop being effective and it essentially becomes catless. Someone much smarter than me should be able to explain the process. I think the high flow material gets clogged, breaks up and is no longer effective but wait for confirmation from one of the many resident genius’. Buy a vrsf catted DP from x-ph and be happy |

1.want to avoid the CEL/SEL 2. smell and drone...heard catless is too loud as a daily 3. I heard catted dp can do without a tune ,but the catless needs a tune due to no restrictions Not too fussed about power increase ...I have a the bmw PE so hope to let lose some pops and bangs ..ha |

You won’t get them by replacing a catted downpipe with a slightly less catted downpipe. I’ve had fully Catless Downpipe and the BMW PE muffler and it’s loud as hell but zero pops and gurgles (burble) You will be paying 1k for a downpipe and $500 for install and be no better off and barely any louder |
