Eric's 335i Photoshoot

First photo DONE!
High-res available on request.
More to come, next weekend!

BTW this photo is NOT final. I'm not sure if I like how you can see the tint...I'm thinking about whiting that out along with the background, but would that be weird?

The front and background are blown out Twitchy.. Was it parked directly under the garage light or was it just not on due to the daytime?

The shot perspective is great but I'll wait to see what you do in PP to balance it out.

I have another shot where the background isn't blown out, but that means it was exposed for the background which then makes the car appear as a silhouette, losing any detail. The blown out white also hides the busy trees in the background. Sucks I couldn't save the front. Light was coming from many angles.

To blow it out, I had to shoot at 1600ISO which revealed the car enough that I could brighten it up in PS and remove the noise with Noise Ninja.

looks great! i'd actually darken the tint rather than whiten it.... then agian that might throw off your composition w/ the strong division btwn bright light and dark pavement

Was planning on releasing another photo today but I'm having those RAM issues with Photoshop again. Apparently I need to upgrade to a 64-bit OS since I've hit the maximum amount of RAM my current OS can handle.

Sorry for the hold up on the photos. A particular plug-in I'm using on Photoshop was causing the RAM issues. For now I have removed it so I can continue the work, but the photos probably won't look as flashy as they did on the M3 shoot, especially with the clouds and all.

Conditions during Eric's shoot were mediocre, definitely not the time of the day to be doing pics out in the open sun. I'd be happy to retake some photos during sun set some day as the harsh lighting during that day created the following problems in almost all of my photos:

1. Hard, outlined shadows casted by surrounding objects and subject
2. Blown out sky, creating a lack of color
3. Improperly exposed subject, properly exposed sky, and vice-versa
4. Strong reflections in subject

Reflections will take some time to fix if I can figure out how to do them correctly. Removing them is NOT an easy task...but, I'll do my best.

Cool stuff so far!

I have no problem meeting up again for more shots if you need better lighting.
