2008 335i Low Boost no 30ff

Hey guys,
I have a 2008 335i that i purchased almost 2 months ago now, Car was boosting strong up until around 2 weeks ago. I checked the boost and i am only hitting 3 psi now, no lag it will go to 3 psi as soon as I put my foot down but thats all i get all the way up to redline. The car is showing no codes. the wastegates shut on startup and the car spools quickly so I dont think its leaky wastegates and it doesnt seem to be a boost leak atleast not one big enough to lose this much boost. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

3psi and no 30FF makes no sense. How are you measuring boost?
Pull codes, check boost control vacuum lines & solenoids, smoke test, boost leak test.

I agree it makes no sense, I am measuring it from an app on my phone connected to the obdII. I pulled codes and i got nothing only the one for the exhaust flap control. All the vacuum lines are good no cracks from what i can see. just wondering if anyone has had this issue before with no codes and a constant 3psi all the way to redline, before i go chasing a boost leak.

What app? I recommend MHD, then you can upload a log to datazap.me and post it here.

I used torque pro on mine the other day (car is new to me) and it only registered 4psi max after an hour of kicking the shit out of the car.

Don`t know how the car is supposed to feel but it`s certainly fast enough for my liking. Maybe Torque doesn`t report pressure correctly? or my car could be leaking

Going for a long drive in about an hour - will plug everything back in and do some more logging

Follow the link assuming you do, stock boost levels are about 8psi, not 3psi

Would recommend you use MHD monitoring or another tool which records boost levels to confirm
