Huge Thanks to feuer for going over this and making sure it right and others for answering questions on the two 30+page threads.

I have the front 340 caliper/rotors pads FOR SALE which are direct bolt on if anyone is interested(first pic). I might also sell the rear set.



This is an information/diy thread for the Front since both threads i went thru are over 10 pages long. Most questions are answered here if not before sending a pm most of it has been answered.


Easiest retrofit for e90/e92

Keep in mind there are only two versions of the brembos calipers 340mm and 370/380mm version.

Q & A

1)Whats the most direct bolt on

a)f30 340mm calipers with f30 340mm front rotors
(no stock e90/e92 rotors will not work) as close to Direct bolt on

2) Can i fit f80 370/380mm with f30 rotors?

a) not recommended but will work as the pad will not make full contact as the caliper sits higher for a 370/380 rotor)

3) Can i fit complete m3/m4 370/380 caliper and 370mm rotor?

a) yes and no there are a two version of the 370mm rotor performance/f30 370mm rotor will be a direct bolt on m3/m4 370mm rotor will not work for the same reason the stock 335i rotor it will be about 5mm off. Some have made it work by using a spacer and longer bolts for the caliper and knuckle but it will still be off center.

4) Will it fit my wheels?

a) Depends on spoke design, offset and barrel
some 18's will fit but some 19's will not again depends on the spoke, offset and barrel design.

5) Are calipers directional?

a) Yes there is a left and a right make sure bleeding nipples are facing up

6) is Bleeding easy?

a) depends if you've done it before and know what you're doing but bleeding with INPA is recommended

7) Any coding required?

a) f30's have programmable abs e90's don't but from what i hear some have found a way to program it there is a thread around here you can read into it.

8) Do i need a m3 master cylinder

a) from my research for the fronts only you don't but if you do a front a rear conversion the M3 MC does give you a firmer pedal but you might want to make sure you system is bleed correctly before you jump into that upgrade.

9) Do sensors work

a)LCI e90 brake sensors work. Pre LCI brake sensors don't

There is a F30 M Performance 370mm caliper that is plug and play with the M Performance 370 mm rotor on E9x chassis cars too. The M3/M4/F3x caliper fits just fine. It's the M3/M4 rotor that won't work.

I'm not an English major, so just use this as a reference. I also added some additional details.

Its Same caliber that are used on the M3/m4 they are just paying at different color and packaged on a performance kit.

Bringing this back from the dead. I am going to be doing some test fitting with different rotors. From what I gather the ones I can use are the 370x30 with the F80 performance calipers?



That was the plan. If I can run the 380, I will. Also, do you use the F80 mounting hardware or the existing bolts from the E90 caliper?

yep 370mm performance rotors bolt on up front zero issues. stock e90 hardware.

380mm are a bit more complicated if you search someone came up with a bracket and pressed in mounting point for $300 bucks which would allow you to bolt up the 380's just search it was recent. I have some f80 rotors if you are looking to buy some.

Thank you. I am going to do the 370. I did this upgrade for primarily looks, but any performance would be a plus. I do not track the thing. Just a few hard stops from triple digits.

What is the correct part number for the 370x30 rotors that fit with M3/M4 calipers on an e90? Is it 34106797606 or 34106797603? And if both what are the differences between them?

Still have yet to put them on. Was going to order the calipers soon. I'm painting the car and they will go on at the same time. I just got in the rebuild kit, so I am planning on doing that this weekend.

Got a set of 370 m performance front calipers (the red ones) and I'm looking to rebuild the piston seals. Anyone happen to know the part number or even an aftermarket source kit?


Also, I know this is the part # for the dimpled/slotted rotors (odd that they don't have two part numbers for directional swept slots): 34106797603. But if I wanted to keep my rears stock (e90 328i lci) does anyone know the blank rotor part #? Is it 34106797606?

Sorry for the late response, they use the same rebuilds. I got a centric part. I’ll look when I go back to the shop.

I know this is a late response to the thread but does swapping to a E9X M3 rear knuckle/spindle/wheel carrier allow for the 370mm rear F80 disc?
If yes, what else needs to be changed except for the knuckle?

So based on one of your other trends. I assume the following would be what I should buy. M-Performance front calipers for 370mm rotors (same as m3/4 calipers)
#34106797606 blank rotors
#34106797603 dimples/slotted rotors
