LOL....I live in Clackamas/Happy Valley....Where abouts? I live like 3-5 min down the street from Clackamas Town Center.

Sonics also have fried pickles.....That gives me an idea, we should try to meet at Sonics. It's in Wilsonville, half way between Happy Valley and Tualatin/Tigard

Bump....

Ran into some issue with my car, the power steering light came on a few days ago.....Now I'm not sure what I'm gonna do, it has no PS so it's kinda difficult to drive, lol.

But I'll try to get some gtg going once I figure out the problem.....

Could be as simple as needing to add power steering fluid, which is easy to check and add fluid. There's a min/max dipstick just like oil. If you are needing to add fluid that's an indication you may have a leak.

Make sure to add the right fluid type (ATF or CHF). Do not mix the two. The type is marked on the reservoir cap.

Thanks! But I just realized that it's my Active Steering light that's on, not the Power Steering light......LOL

So if the power steering fluid is low, hypothetically speaking, won't the warning light come on in the iDrive to let me know?

TIA

I just saw this thread... I'm definitely in for gtgs and would like to meet fellow Bmw Drivers... I live Tannasbourne/Hillsboro Area (Near Intel Ronler acres if anybody knows where that is ) But don't mind driving anywhere in the area for a meet.

cstmx_ryder, I hope you get that issue solved

UPDATE

So today I decided to give it another shot. I started the car, and obviously the AS light is on in yellow. I first backed out of my garage and onto the driveway. Then I cranked the steering wheel to the right, and to my surprise, the engine shut off....So I was like, whatever, I'll just restart it and then cranked the steering wheel to the left. Again, the engine shut off, so I restarted again and re-center the steering wheel, and the AS light FINALLY disappeared.

All is good now....LOL

Ok, so now that my car issues is fixed. I need to wash my car, she's filthy.....lol.

I wonder if there's anywhere I can go to hand wash my own car, not in front of the driveway because the cold water+being outside = no bueno.......

Any suggestions? Like somewhere where I can just bring all my car stuff and just use the indoor facility and water?

How do you guys wash your cars in the winter?

TIA

I use carwash facilities in the wintertime, it's just too cold for even DYI stations... and then I hate it each time I go thru, because they just don't wash the car properly, even though I never use touchless... then I go a 2nd time... shit like that. End result: car stays dirty for a longer time.

I don't know of anything indoors like what you suggest...

Ya I know what you mean....I used the touchless a few times last winter, and it didn't do jack! Waste of my money.....lol

I was thinking that I was just going to bring my car to those car ports that is self wash, and just use their spray hose......Although it's no warm water, but at least I'm partly covered from the cold.....IDK

thing that sucks about the alarm. You have to pay 1 hour of labor for them to attach a computer to the car to tell it has an alarm installed. Usually takes about 10-20 minutes for them to do it. But I guess that's what we get for owning a BMW Looking into learning BMW coding. Eventually I hope to have it down so I can help peeps around me for free Need to buy the cable and start playing around with my car.

Thanks for sharing! I'll wait for it to stop raining and take it in for some serious interior cleaning

Great weather Yesterday, was on US26 yesterday and saw two 335i (sedans) and thought it would have been a great day for a meet! We should plan something!
