Hello everyone,

I recently bought a 2011 e92 335i. The car came with an injen inake, vrsf cp, and vrsf dp without a tune (previous owner took the tune out).
So my question is should I just leave the car like that or should I convert it back to all stock parts? I really dont wanna tune the car since it will be my daily.
Any advice would be much appreciated!

There is really no advantage to going back to stock, other than stock may be a little quieter. Those parts are just going to flow air a little better, which can't hurt. I say leave it alone.

Thank you for the input. From what I know, it could be harmful to have all of those upgraded parts without a tune, and the car already threw a SES light at me lol. Thats why im asking, but if there’s actually no harm then there’s no point of going back to stock.

TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE TUNE! hahahaha!

Just FYI I have daily driven my 335i tuned on "Stage 2+ E50 Mix" for a long time. No issues to report.

Also you should have a check engine light on currently since you are missing the catalytic converters on the VRSF Downpipes. An MHD tune will remove the check engine light and if you have no smog requirements in your state then absolutely no reason not to tune your car.

Even a stage 1 tune will make the car much more fun to drive and completely worth it IMHO.

Thank you for the input. The car does throw a SES light at me lol. Would a stage 1 tune get rid of that or I need a stage 2?

I drive my 335xi every day and have the same mods. It came with a JB4 so I kept that and added and MHD back end flash. No CEL and the car runs well. The car is tuned on map one which is pretty conservative and only a 91 oct. tune. Never had any issues. The car runs well for a daily and I can still out run most cars on the road.

Any stage will get rid of the check engine light for the catalyst efficiency (because of the downpipes not having catalysts of course)
