Ok tx. Looks like I need to change to them. On the very first run as David noticed at low 4000-4500rpm Cyl 1 timing went down a bit then recovered somewhat. Dunno why maybe Tyres cold still and was sliding a bit. Then we tied it down tighter and timing was sweet for subsequent runs.
But I've wanted to change to a colder plug for awhile now.. |

Update: Just switched to Map 6 and tuning it on the road . Target 27psi. Man I just don't know how to describe the feeling now .. All I can say is there's a big difference between 25psi and 27psi on these Stg 2 Pures. Logs are perfect too. No wonder they love it the closer you get to 30psi.
Trip to Mainline again soon if she doesn't blow lol |

Hey Steve,
thanks for the update mate, I did tell you that the Pure Stage 2's respond well to boost pressures above 25psi and they can be pushed as far as 30psi if you are feeling game enough with your AT box, lol. Here is just a little "somethin somethin" from myself, Hexon Autowerks and the boys at Advan performance for you to shoot for... :-) Last edited by JD75; 04-21-2016 at 09:59 AM.. Reason: Revision |

The Pure Stage 2's are manufactured to sustain 28-30psi of boost pressure without the compressor wheel spinning off to the moon or the turbine wheel finding its way into the exhaust system, lol. So yeah 25psi will not be a problem with your turbos. |

Doesn't Steve's car sock is referring to have the Pure Stage 2s not the 700s?
edit: my bad I think sock was referring to the hexon dyno chart. Anyways good luck with the Pures Sock, some great turbos |

Just received my VRSF 7" FMIC and VRSF 3" Catless DP's from Justin. Posted on Monday and arrived Wednesday. Packaging was excellent and all round great service, will definitely be purchasing more parts from him in the future!

Hi
Can I get a price of a VRSF FMIC or if you stock any other cheaper (lol) FMIC to fit the 335i E90? And what is the rough price for a driver's side headlight assembly? My car has factory xeons and adaptive headlight function. I think real OEM says it's 63117162081 (or 82 can't get my head around whether it should be left side or right side... lol). And prices for the adaptive light control module ALC (63127189312)? Cheers.

All seals outside I can see looked good so I think it's somewhere internally that's cracked (had same issues with lights filled with water in my skyline but there's no fancy electronics there to short out so I just drilled some "drainage holes" on the bottom of the light assembly so the water just passes through without puddling up 😂. I figure it's probably gonna be expensive, just want a rough idea on the cost as ECS doesn't have the oem number and I think usa have a different oem number to our eu cars. |

Finally a bit of joy for the N55 boys courtesy of a Pure Stage 2 turbo and an E50 blend via a Fuel-It TBI kit and Stage 2 LPFP.
There is definitely some more killerwasps to be had but unfortunately the DCT gearbox was already starting to complain at these power levels. With a Dodson Motorsport clutch pack upgrade I believe 375rwkW would be possible on an aggressive tune. Cheers, JD. |

A bit of self promotion never hurt (lol), so having said that here is a cheeky copy and paste of another forum members post...
"Just sharing my experience so far with JD, Have a smoking problem with the car and decided to post a thread to get some advice on what I should do. JD wrote an elaborate and extensive reply explaining what the causes of the issue could be and what the next best step would be. He gave me his number and we had a good 30min on the phone and he talked me through the situation in more detail and booked me in at Advan to come down and assess the problem. He then had another good 30min chat to my old man who is more can orientated than myself about the problem and what the issue(s) could be. He organised everything and is currently in the process of booking me in again at Advan. Really top guy doing all this for no cost and taking it out of his own time. Have also bought parts off JD in the past and service was flawless. Top guy to do business with and would highly recommend!" |

Hey guys,
here are a few pics of a complete N54 upgrade kit that was assembled for an Advan performance customer. All these goodies will comfortably support 425+rwkW at high boost levels on straight E85. Given the car is an AT vehicle that has around 120K on the odo' we'll be limiting things to the low 400rwkW mark, with an upwards ramping boost curve to prevent the drivetrain killing torque bomb (lol) this kit is capable of producing. Cheers, JD. Last edited by JD75; 09-10-2016 at 11:56 PM.. Reason: Revision |
