E92 Climate Control takes ages to start warming/cooling?

Forgive me if this is normal, but on start-up it takes the car a good 10 minutes to realise that it’s freezing cold and to start piping hot air into the car, is this normal? I have it on Auto 21c and 5 fan speed! If i’ve been on a drive and get out to go the shop for example itll kick in straight away when coming back (Presumably because its warmed up or had time to realise the temperature?)

Thanks

Well my car doesn't put any air out until the air is hot enough or else there is no point blowing cold air in cold temps I noticed.

Climate control does take a while to send warm air out as it waits for the coolant to warm the heater matrix so you get warm air instead of cold air into the car.

Believe it's an option, and usually fitted on diesels as they take longer to come up to temp.

In regards to the climate control, best to leave it in auto. It will crank the fan speed up itself once it has decided there is actually warm air to blow.
