It's a 2019 Yamaha MT-07. Flat plane twin, 689cc, liquid cooled, and a whole lot of torque. Top end is still decent too but its no rocket. Similar to an N52 in which its got a lot of low end grunt and fairly useable at all RPMs. Its a more budget bike, which unfortunately means they skimped out on suspension and some creature comforts that I am to fix within the next year or so. But honestly this thing is a blast! It sounds great, performance is exactly what I need for where I live, and it looks sexy.

looks like aftermarket muffler (and exhaust pipe?). GREAT lines and love the "non-fairing" look. back in the day, i used to race motocross; i had the second yr monoshock yamaha yz250 2-stroke race bike; IT WAS A ROCKET. |

Renthal Road High Bars CRG Adjustable Levers Front Frame Sliders Full Yoshimura Exhaust Yoshimura Tail Tidy CRG Style Bar End Mirrors And yes I LOVE the naked bike look. Always been my favorite. Been wanting this exact bike since 2020! The only downside to running a naked bike is the lack of wind deflection on the highway.. Man I wish I got to race motocross growing up. My street riding would be so much more improved by now if I had. Those 2 strokes aint no joke!

for the unlearned (that would be me) what is a front frame slider?? it totally looks "appropriately modded" with these great touches. remember the ducati monster?? a VERY naked look with its chrome moly tubular frame in full-view.... here's a rider's view of the start of a motocross race....i raced motocross competitively in the mid-70's (yes, i'm old!)....250 class; it is without doubt the most frenetic sport. my "home track" was carlsbad raceway in north county san diego and (fatefully) was the home track for the us grand prix world motocross pros that raced factory bikes and were pro riders, etc; my point is it was a very difficult track. you would be sitting on your race bike at the starting line and the starter would wave his hand in a circle "light them off" and you'd start your bike, and the insane noise of 30 race bikes (2-stroke ROCKETS) was so loud you could not hear your bike running - only the vibration of the engine when you gave it throttle told you it was running; the starter would be standing about 150 ft in front of you on the track and he would hold up a 30 SEC sign board and then at the 15 sec mark he would turn the sign sideways....and then he would run for the sidelines....at this point you have your right hand (throttle) literally touching the competitor's handlebars to your right and the same on your left....and you would have started a countdown in your head and appx 5 seconds before the gate dropped in front of the 30 riders (your front tire is about an inch off of the gate) you would pull the clutch in and click your left racing motocross boot down one click into 1st gear and then go WIDE OPEN THROTTLE and move up from the bike's seat and literally sit on the gas tank and stare down at the gate and 30 bikes are at WIDE OPEN THROTTLE and when the gate dropped you literally release the clutch handle with your index finger and you were SHOT OUT OF A CANNON.... and 30 race bikes launch and you are all heading for a tight left hand turn and it could get very ugly.... that is just the launch; the track had a MASSIVE downhill section where you would free-fall about 50 ft while going down the hill at WIDE OPEN THROTTLE.... |

That sounds insane! I love it. Very vivid imagery! I've never been able to go see an event like that, maybe one day. The start off alone is crazy. Handlebars touching.. When I was little we used to have a bmx track by my house that would do events. When there was no one there me and my dad would ride onto it and mess around. One day (and the last one I can remember before they tore it down) we were doing our normal routine and this time there was an actual race going on. We hopped on the track right after the gates were lifted. That was pretty fun, 6 year old me was competing in the big leagues on his Mongoose with pedal brakes.
As far as mods go its well sorted, lucky for me the previous owner did all of that. Allows my budget to keep adding stuff. I calculated it and it's roughly $1600 (before tax) in mods. Planning on swapping my Renthal street fighter bars over from my other bike and see what difference that makes. Frame sliders are additions to your frame that "slide" on the pavement if your bike goes down. Some "disposable protection" if you will. Lol. Once my skills progress enough as a rider I'll throw on a full crash cage and start learning how to stunt And yes! The the Ducati monster. One of the childhood bikes that really set it off for me. The exposed tubular frame was sweet. It really got me into cafe racers, of which I have an 83 Yamaha XV750 & XV920 Ill be converting. Once my 330 is done and the MT-07 has all the comfort mods done I'll finish them..

Have you been there lately? Some friends have just returned from Vancouver and were shocked to the core at the widespread signs of societal collapse in that city...
