Need help with Idrive controller not working after installing new CCC unit
I replaced my old 06 330i CCC unit since it was failing (infinite bmw logo reboot on the display screen). I managed to get my hands on a 08 335i CCC unit. I hooked it up powers on.
I've coded it using NCSexpert with the following CGATE CHOST CAUD CTUNE CAPPL then did the reset by holding the buttons on the unit. Everything works on the unit buttons (radio, fm, etc), the display works and functions, and the steering wheel buttons controlling the radio is good too. BUT my idrive controller does not work. It moves freely has no resistance to it car on car off doesnt matter. My question is do I need to do something to code it to make it work? Do I need to purchase another controller? Please help I've literally looked everywhere for an answer. |

Change coding from "Controller high" to "Controller low" -may help.
Something to do with the force feedback. It's quite a mess to swap the controller. There are numerous versions of it, lots of not certain information. Some say you need certain CCC software level for it to work. I ditched any plans of replacing mine since if navigation update fails = bricked CCC. |
