That'd be my car.
You might have missed this one over on 1addicts last year.
Had to stop the final push over 500 at 5100rpm as had dud O2s, a malfunctioning boostbox and we didn't have enough fueling left with any safety.

Have changed out most of the buggered bits and back to 98 tuning before braving e85 again, maybe with the new engine and gearbox when funds allow.

A stall and glide will bugger you every time with a final power number.
My original engine and box are holding amazingly well, still. Can't believe it and stock as a rock. The fancy engine is ready to screw together and my Nizpro has been ready for ages but, as you well know, N54s keep you poor. Especially when developing two turbo kits as well.

You serviced my Smart Car earlier this year when I was on the Goldcoast but I missed you to talk single turbo trash as you were away for a couple of days.

haha yeah. I was doing husband things. so i'm allowed to keep doing n54 things haha.

that's the go! my stock engine is loving it at the moment. I'm turning it up slowly but surely seeing if i can find it's limit. im on wastegate pressure haven't tried the boostbox yet. keen to lay down a number again before i make it go pop and work out where the line is.

curious to know what boost you are on. mines only on 27psi. it wants more. im scared to up the timing any more than i'm at now.

might make up a low mount ST kit in the next few months if there is interest.

I ran over 30psi which is why the power graph was shooting to the moon, haha. The 84rs likes a whack of boost. What stopped the run with wheel-spin, leaky injectors, insufficient fuel from the lpfp, buggered O2s etc. Was a little sketchy running JB4 and an old so,so tune straight up out of fabrication.

Now its on a 17psi spring hitting 20psi due to boost reference set-up on 98 with a new Boostbox and the PI temporarily disconnected. Just dual di for now and all is hunky dory. Will find the max on dual di with V8Bait before deciding if I risk this motor as its a peach.

For many motors the line is well crossed as the N54 has seen many an engine failure even before 400rwkw.

Heres a setup for 7k. Its a top mount but works.

Pretty funny how oem manifolds can pump out 460kw.

Just doing a promod style setup on a car at the shop. spaghetti over the top mounted full forward for a race car.

and it looks like there's plenty of room for a lowmount 3576 size turbo.

If anyone wants one done pm me and i'll find time to book it in. i'll share some pics of the race car setup when i get half a chance

So with some luck most of the hardware and software Gremlins are gone on my Tubular Bottom Mount Manifold developed with JD75 (JDTuning). Fingers crossed.

We decided to run base dyno number for our V8Bait tune for 98RON and a splash of E85.

Happy with the base result at 23psi after testing on 14psi spring.

Trofeo R tyres, 3.15 diff, 160 dyno ramp rate, super tight strap down and 6400rpm.
Zero degrees of timing and 30% throttle too.

This is not the limit of 98 on this car with my free flowing set-up and expect there is more in it as we progress to a final tune for street driving.
