Found this thread in an attempt to reset the pad wear sensors on my 2007 BMW 328i manual transmission.

Most, if not all the posts I see explaining how to reset the service menu/brake pad menu seem to be for automatic transmissions.

Holding the brake and the odometer reset button did not bring up the menu on my car. I had to hold the odometer reset and the BC button on the stalk. Once I did that I was able to reset the front and rear pad sensors.

Note: I soldered the wires together on the rear pad wear sensor and replaced the front pad wear sensor. No problem resetting the interval once I was properly in the menu.

I believe this is a difference between manual and auto trans cars.

Good luck to all you DIY BMW owners!

I just did this. It took a few tries. Two things I noticed is first you really need to wait after hitting the start button till all the lights reset on the dash. 15 to 20 seconds Id say ( I was too anxious) . Then as he said push and hold the odo reset button till the yellow triangle shows then disappears (didn't need to hold the brake pedal? I found that out in other videos). Then finally I had the ability to reset service items. Awesome - Just did the front brakes and happy to not see that damn reminder. Thanks to all here
