From what it looks theyre all just too dim...
The point of the Angel Eyes is that they need to "pop".
You know a BMW is coming towards you from far away just by seeing those angels... So to get a different color either white or blue doesn't do much if they're dim...
The E90's have it down packed... The Angel Eyes mods on the E90's are just stunning and the light output and colors are beautiful...
So even though this was truly one of my first mod planned i think i'm gonna wait it out until a better option becaomes available...

its not THAT dim. it is still defnitely noticeable from far away. even more so, because thats the best range to see it dead on. but again in my opinion not as bright as the stock yellows. nonetheless, still a great mod.

Even if it's a 1$ 1 minute Mod, if it doesn't give me the effect i'm looking for then there's no point in me doing it...
But again everybody who has done this is giving mixed results soooo

I don't think there are any mixed results--you can definately tell from a far distance that a Bimmer is coming--I had my dad drive by at various distances so I could see the effect. They look really good and very noticeable during the day, and at night compliment the Xenons very well. You are going to have a hard time finding something that is as bright as the Xenons unless you can install Xenon Angel Eyes....which would probably be too much IMO. Like Shinchan said--$30 for a 10-15 min. ordeal, and it looks very nice.

Hi!
I´ve just posted about help on changing angel eyes colour to white or blue in my e91.
I´ve seen the potos in this post but since it is to an e92, can someone tell me if in the e91 the procedement would be the same? The bulb connection in the e91 is the same as I open my front light?
If there is any photos with an e90...
thank you a lot.

Looks great. I am waiting on a set of GP Thunder H8's right now. I think they'll look good. I will switch my Mtecs to my foglights. I am not switching my Xenon bulbs though. I went through this with my E90, I wanted a different color, more Blue-White, but after about 5 or 6 months of having the D1s they burned in and they looked good. After you have the D1s bulbs burn in about 50 to 75 hours they change, and look more intense White/Blue. I don't know why this is, but it happened with my E90.

Unfortunately it isn't this simple on an E91. You will need a solution like the E90, ie: Brex, PIAA led, PMB's, ect. Do a search and you'll find the info. It's a royal pain unfortunately, and as a result I never did my E90.

Has anyone tried to replace their turn signal bulbs with Silvervision bulbs to avoid the "egg yolk" look? Seems like these are much harder to get to than in the E46. I haven't tried yet...

"had" silvervsion? any reason for removing them?

as for the front, actually it looks like there are two bulbs on each side... it seems you need to pull off the inside of the fender cover to get to them? the manual conveniently neglects to explain how to change these bulbs.

i changed out the back signals for silvervisions and they look nice, but they weren't as noticeable to begin with. i also changed out the side markers for white lights (look blue when off) and those are pretty cool. real easy to do.

... waiting for new H3/H8 lights, on order...
