Xenon headlight lifting problems

Hello everyone,

So i been having a problem that i just noticed. When i turn the ignition on and i switch on the headlights they do go down and then up to the point where they should be, but when i start the car and switch the headlights on they stay in one position, no matter if me and my brother get on the trunk, they do not adjust automatically.
My headlight type is only that goes vertically up and down.

i searched the forums for answers, but nobody ran into that kind of problem.

Sorry for my bad english

Please help

Check the leveling sensor on the front control arm. The little arm can become detached. I think they're all on the passenger/left side front. There is also one on the rear but not sure it's the same for all models/years.

well i did change front arm because it was not lifting at all. after i did change it lifts normaly, but only when ignition is on, not when the car is running.
i added gif how it looks when i turn the ignition on. But when i start the car and switch on headlights they just stay in the same position

That lift doesn't look right either. On my car it moves more than that. I forgot to refit the arm after changing the control arm and because when I turned the car on it did a little lift, I though all was ok. It was only when I drove the car at night I remembered about the arm, refitted it and the lights leveled much higher.

I think when you first turn the car on it does this little little lift perhaps to check the motors but if the sensor is not working it won't level to the correct height. I would guess the sensor is damaged or not fitted correctly. I wonder if it would register a fault code?

If you do need to replace the sensor it's a lot quicker & easier with the wheel off.

If it appears that the arm has become detached you will most likely need to replace the whole unit, as it may appear that the cup on the arm will just pop back onto the little ball & it may well do but it will most likely become detached again, mine did a couple of times until I replaced it.

OKEY GUYS,

i found a solution to my problem, now when i start the car it works, it does adjust.

So the problem was on the front sensor, when i changed shocks and struts i had to disassemble everything, after everything was finished i put the sensor awkwardly, not how it should be.

It works
