If you do a lot of miles anyway its going to be on monster mileage when you sell, so why be so picky ?

Fair play if you want a car with low mileage. Only you know how many miles you will be doing a year, when you intend to sell the car etc.

It's just extremely difficult to tick all the boxes, spec and pricewise, and have a car within a reasonable distance to you.

Good luck with your hunt, I don't think there's really anything out there at the moment that will do it for you

Guys that's a little unfair I think, he wants what he wants and hasn't been arsey or rude about it. I've been looking for 'the one' since August and yes a few have come up but are either miles away (350m) or the seller has been economical with the truth i.e. bodywork / interior or just plain massively over priced. There are actually plenty on the market so not as rare as people like to make out but obviously the limiting factor is the acceptable spec (years, colour, miles etc).

I think the reason some of us create a wanted post (speaking for myself) is to try to coax someone who might just have what we're looking for into selling. My last car sold that way. A guy joined, listed his spec, saw my build thread, contacted me direct and the deal was done that week. I wasn't looking to sell but this chap was serious and his budget perfectly reasonable so the deal was done.

For me the stumbling block has been the colour (Space Grey, Sparkling Graphite Metallic). The spec, year, miles are generaly OK (2009 onwards, Msport, DCT, NAV etc) but I mainly come across blue, silver and black.

Yeah it's real tough to tick all the boxes.

I was searching for quite some time.
Wanted SGM with coral red interior. M-Sport, 19's, I-Drive and within my budget.

I found it in the end but it's had a fair few previous owners which is not ideal.
I Went on a 6 hour plus train journey to check it out and came home in it.
A year on and I couldn't be happier.

Funny must be a 335 thing, mine had a fair few previous owners . But it's condition and mileage that really mattered to me.
