Once it has unzipped, you should have one folder and one file. Copy these to the root of a USB stick and plug into the USB in the glovebox.

Yes i know. But the torrent include 5 parts, part 1, part 2, part 3 etc..
Guess i just unzip part one (about 20gb) and give a ** in the other parts.

WinRAR will handle it all. Just extract the first part.

I downloaded the five zip files, and tried using WinRAR, but it kept coming up with an error and wouldn't unzip it. I tried 7zip and it's working away.
Am I correct in thinking that you only unzip the first zip file and you should be left with one file and one folder? If so, what's the sizes of both, just to make sure it's gone smoothly?

Also, does anyone know if the 1b.hex file changes each time you update the maps? I've still got a copy of the original file from the last time I updated and I was wondering if could use it again to generate another code, or if I'd have to obtain a fresh copy of the file?

2020-2 maps are 23.5GB

No you do not have to re-download the file again. You can use it to generate a new code, or a lifetime code so you do not have to bother with codes in the future.

Strangely, once updated, I went to check the mapping software version, and the screen was blank. Everything else is absolutely fine.

Does that most times, once the car has gone to sleep a while the next time you start it the updated version info will show

Hi everbeody new here, I have never updated my car A BMW e61 2009 LCI, inserted usb in glowcompartment nothing happening .Must i update via dvd since the car never hade an update? I heard that early cic needs too Update car software too update in glow compartment Dearly mr Joakim

As far as I'm aware my CIC updated fine first time via USB. I did have a lot of issues with getting one particular USB to work.

Tried 2 usb. Wien i put music on them idrive showes them? I put all on root One file and one folder and nothing happens . Looking at this post look like it is an issue?[IMG][/IMG]
