E92 328I No Sound Drivers Side HiFi Speaker System

Hello all, looking for some help/guidance. My 2009 e93 328i with HDR and Hi-Fi speaker system has no sound- including gong..on any of the divers side speakers for the past 9 months (happened before storing for winter) .Not sure what happened (wet amp?). Fuse is good; is my only option an OEM amp replacement? OK dumb question- if the amp is bad, why is there sound on the passenger side.. Stated to dig in to remove amp-but lots of trim to remove (convertible) and figured out reach out before moving on or taking to a shop. Any help you have would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance....

You have tried playing with the balance right?
And was it working before?
Hi Fi amps are cheap on ebay and there is only
one connector to plug in.
Yes you can replace it with and aftermarket amp
it's easy with a Technic pnp harness but then the speakers
for the fronts should be upgraded to.
Have you actually physically looked at the amp .
Have tried reseating the connector to it .
It's a one lever connector.

Look for water and corrosion on the connectors.

Yes; have checked balance, fuse and it did work before. Started to remove tray to look at the amp; it's a PITA to get the tray out in the convertible. Again dumb question but if the amp is bad would sound work on one side- there's no hissing or popping; etc

It's possible.
It's also possible that it could be a Radio or Idrive problem.
You could start taking measurements but it's probable just as easy
to swap out the amp.
You could scope the Input signals but you probably don't have
a O-scope.
You have to start somewhere.
I believe to have good access you will have to take the left trim out.
