And yes, donating to charity is another reason not to get there super early and park. You pay when you roll in.

Also, I spoke with the person in charge of the event and he said the parking lot will be blocked off by cones before the event, and people parked inside the lot may be towed, or asked to leave by security. Don't want any of you guys having your car towed before the cruise- that would suck

I went to leavenworth last year in my BMW and it absolutely sucked. I ended up driving alone most of the time since I got ditched. I couldn't keep up with the rest of the Bimmers, nor was I interested in weaving thru traffic like the rest of em.

Yeah, if it's anything like how the trip was from BCC to Triple X burgers last Sunday, then I may have to reconsider this. I was hoping for a nice, steady cruise.

And +1 for your bimmer. That thing is beautiful.

I was thinking of going but after hearing about five-0 ticketing you for no front plate and the comment above, I am probably not going to go.

Your odds getting a hole in one are greater than the odds of you getting a no front plate ticket in Leavenworth. You have a much better chance gettin a ticket driving around here without a front plate vs getting a ticket in Leavenworth. The population in Leavenworth is less than 2,000 people (as of 2010), so their police force is a tiny fraction of any police force we have on this side of the mountain. So I wouldn't let that be your reasoning for not wanting to go.

There will be over 1,000 cars on this drive, so your odds are 1:1,XXX.. Im sure you'll be fine taking your chances. This will be my 8th year going, and I've never had a front plate on my car for this drive, and have also never gotten a ticket. This includes the early years when it was just a couple hundred cars, making the odds much greater.

With that said, can't wait! This is the best event of the year, and it gets better and better (and bigger and bigger) every year.

Youre not driving to Montreal though, so at any rate I can help maintain your car for you. You know, its bad not to drive it everyday. Look in the manual.

I'm down for a nice leisurely cruise up to Leavenworth. My roommate might be driving his M5 up from San Francisco for this also.

what do you mean bro? I led the cruise and I was going the speed limit in the right hand lane... Unless you were at the tail end... I didn't see what was going on back there.

In any case, we can cruise to leavenworth together. I'm not down for speeding and caravaning is 80% of the fun.

Yeah man, I was towards the back and as soon as we exited BCC, all you heard was WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Lots of weaving in and out. We just reduced the image of the BMW brand by 2% that day.

it started with the e46 guys. those guys are the worst. the bimmerpost crew has caravaned with eachother very many times before and we rarely ever do that. we know our driving patterns already, those guys are bad news. haha

Yeah im going to try and get that Saturday off of work to still be able to go... I want to really bad!
I've led 2 caravans from Southcenter to Federal Way and from South Center to Golden Gardens and we had 5-10 cars each time and was able to keep it together just fine, apart from the occasional red light of course. Theres no point in driving like a douche... if it's the e46freaks driving like that i say we see them when we get there and just do an e9x drive with our crew, Im not trying to get a ticket.

lol... my experience has been the opposite. The e90 guys are usually weaving whenever I try to follow.

Everyone was tame in the front. It sounds like the middle bunch were a little out of control.
