Anyone know if E46 CD Changer will work in E90?

Does anyone know if the CD changer from an E46 will work in a new 2006 330i with the Logic7 system?

I installed a BMW CD changer in my leased 2003 325i. When I return the car at lease end, I plan to get a new 330i and would like to use my existing CD changer if possible.

Part number for the changer I have is 82 11 0028 760.

Thanks for any info you might have.

NO, it wont

The E90 cd changer is part of a fibre optic network and has to have the ability to send, recieve and pass along messages on fibre optic cables

So basically we're stuck using OEM BMW E90 CD changers? Is it realistic that audio manufacturers like Alpine will make ones specifically compatible with the E90?

No. BMW has made use of a extensive fiber optic bus in the new E90 like as in the 5 and 7 series cars that prevents the use of the old changers. The new changer also requires the car to be coded just like you do with the alarm and Sirius receiver. The best price I have received for the changer was from Circle BMW for $520.
